Raw seafood - scallops, prawns, crab legs, oysters were excellent. Hot entrees came cold though. Waiter informed us that even though they charge 20% surcharge on every check - only half goes to waiter - bad deal for waiters

We had a reservation and got seated immediately upon arrival, outdoors, as requested. The service started off great, our server came up to take our order and was friendly. We put in our drink order first then later our appetizer and entrees. Entrees came before our appetizers then lastly, our drinks. Beer came but the Pepsi ordered didn’t come until after the second time we asked about it (at the end of the meal). When oyster tray was brought out half the water and ice was spilled all over our table. Waitress was really nice and food tasted fantastic but all these things took away from us having a great experience.

Brought my family to Elliott’s for dinner. Unfortunately, we could not sit together as a group of five. The hostess was able to get us tables near each other. It turned out to be a pleasant arrangement since my husband and I were able to enjoy dinner as a couple and the younger crowd seemed excited about their food choices. My son raved about the oysters. Hubby was very satisfied with his steak and how it was cooked exactly as he requested. Jacob, our server, was attentive and had great suggestions for our drinks.

Elliot’s is my favorite place to take out-of-towners. Unbeatable setting added to top class service and the freshest oysters anywhere make for a great treat. It’s pricey, but so worth it. We’ve never been disappointed yet.

Overpriced. 20% surcharge which our waiter was quick to point out goes to the company. Any tip was in addition. Dungeness crab was over-steamed and therefore not as flavorful as anticipated. Do not recommend.

Great service but value was lacking considering high price paid (including 20% service fee automatically added to every bill plus additional 10%+ tip as service worker state they only get half of the service fee) for so-so salmon and halibut non-memorable cuisine. The drinks are spendy at $15 each but excellent. The desert menu is lacking in non-dairy options with the exception of spumoni.

Overall, a bit disappointed. We just got married and Rainier and came into Seattle to explore. We were hopeful Elliotts would be our big dinner out but it really wasn’t worth the hype in our opinion. The server forgot to bring several things to our table, the oysters were very small and the taste was really just subpar. We ordered the Celebration for our dinner and maybe that was the mistake. It was just really small for the price. Likely won’t come back and on the hunt for authentic Seattle sea food.

We ate outside and it was a lovely night watching the ferry boats. Service was great. Food was very good such as the salmon fritters, halibut special of the day and oysters but super expensive ; very pricey meal which was enjoyable but wish the cost was a little more reasonable. But overall loved eating outside and thought food was very good.

We’ve always loved Elliott’s for the large seafood tower and crab Louie. Sad to see the menu get smaller and the items on your favorite dishes change or all together disappear. The large seafood tower is a sad pathetic selection of seafood now and smaller at the same price point. The crab Louie is no longer even on the menu. Can’t even get a seafood Louie of any kind. The tower is the biggest disappointment of them all. It was always such a treat that we didn’t mind the $95 price tag and had it everytime. The other major disappointment was the lack of dessert options fir our anniversary dinner. My husband has a gluten allergy and they used to have at least a couple options now it was just “all we have is a sorbet kind of thing…” spoken like doubt you want that. Guess not. Sadly, we are probably not going back.

We were so excited to eat here again after two amazing meals in the past. My halibut was overcooked. Very odd flavor profiles. Worst crab cake ive ever had. 20% tip already included. Waiter wasn’t great and spoke so fast we couldn’t understand a word. $350 for 4 people, 2 beers the rest waters. Super bummed! I loved this place before.

1 out of 10 do not recommend. The server acted afraid of our kids and was generally awkward with requests. The restaurant also charged a 20% yes 20% fee to our very expensive bill that was not intended to go to the server. Supposedly it is a fee that goes back to the house so that some day (not in the next two years) they might offer their servers benefits. This seems criminal. Shame on you Elliot’s. I own a very small business and all of my employees have benefits and I don’t put that cost on my customers. Also, I noticed that they sat three different tables of black customers next to our noisy kid table in the very back of the restaurant when there were clearly open tables away from our kiddos in more desirable locations. If I was those customers I would have been annoyed and curious why all the white customers had better tables.

You're paying for the view, which is spectacular. 20% "service charge" added to every order, they do tell you, but the prices are so high that this just feels like piling on. Food was just ok, poor value for the price; for a $30-$50 entree (not including the 20% upcharge), there is no accompanying salad or bread. Service was personable and pleasant but we had to flag our server down a few times.

The service was fine, but it's hard to believe I spent 127$ on a small salad, 6 tiny oysters and a snow crab cluster that had as much meat as my pinky finger. I imagine the view is nice if you remember to tell them you want outside seating. Overall, it is remarkably better than Red Lobster, but not by much.

Food was absolutely delicious. Prices were inflated, but that is to be expected given the location. Service was abysmal. Our waiter never even stopped by our table for the first half hour after we were seated. When he did, and took out drink order, it took 20’ to bring us our bottle of wine. So, we were sitting with nothing but water for 50’. Food was very good when it finally came, and the view of sunset over the sound was gorgeous. They add a standard 20% service fee, which I would have no problem with if it weren’t for the fact that a) the service was TERRIBLE because the waiter knew he would get a good tip regardless, and b) he then went on about how he had to share his tip with the kitchen and bus staff (ummm… as do most waitstaff…) as if we should make up the difference for him.

Elliotts adds 20% to the bill that is NOT a gratuity. Just raise prices 20% instead of forcing the server to explain an idiotic practice. Despite good food and service, this behavior cannot be rewarded with repeat visits.

Great location on the waterfront. Food was decent but an automatic 20 percent gratuity plus the waiter telling me that the 20 percent is split with the restaurant but if I give more then he would get the extra gratuity. Complete turn off Would I go back - No Prices are deeply inflated so the overall value is sub par Bummer - really wanted to like this one

Service & meal were excellent. Those I would rate at 5. However, the less-than- completely-transparent mandatory 20% service charge results in my poor value rating. To be fair to the restaurant, the mandatory 20% service charge was printed in bold on the bill & on the receipt. However, the service staff did not mention it when presenting the bill or when accepting the signed receipt. I also do not recall seeing any mention of the mandatory service charge on the regular or daily menu. My fault for not carefully reading the bill & receipt. My additional tip of 20% was not intended to bring the tip total to 40%.

Despite being told it was a special occasion and having a reservation, they tried to seat us in back away from the view. We were then moved to bar area next to a table with small unruly kids. The view was still breathtaking. Food was very good (not great). Service was only ok. The meal was VERY expensive for what we got and level of service. For those most interested in the view, this fits the bill.

We always enjoy the food and atmosphere at Elliott's and have dined there on a number of occasions. Their tipping policy is confusing and expensive. They add a 20% surcharge but only 10% goes to the waiter so you feel compelled to add an additional tip. In our case, with the added tip, we ended up tipping close to 30%. That's a lot for service that was good but not "over the top" great.

Food was good. Huge selection of Oysters. Very touristy and busy. Reserve early, especially if you want to sit outside. They charge 20% service charge and the restaurant retains it, saying the staff is "paid a competitive salary". The service charge is taxed also on top of a pretty expensive meal.
