Thank you so much for the 5 stars! We greatly appreciate your positive feedback! -Elway's Team
The service was outstanding the steaks were extremely salty
Just a nice relaxing dinner
Nothing special about this dinner. There are other better restaurants in Vail. Try Mountain Standard before going to Elway’s
It is off season, so we already lowered our expectations.... but I took over 25 minutes to get a wedge salad and a burger. ( when they weren’t even busy)
This was our first visit to Elway’s and it was a lovel surprise considering it was closing day. The artichoke was delicious — dinner was tasty - a bit pricey. Make sure you save room for dessert...Elway’s Ding Dong will not disappoint. We will definitely be back!
The lobster bisque was terrible - worst I’ve ever had. I ordered a ribeye, medium rare and was served a Nee York strip, which was quite good except that one half was raw. We were seated beside a table of 10, including 6 children (not toddlers) who didn’t have the patience or manners to behave or be respectfully quiet - and their parent did nothing about it.
Way too pricey for my friends and the mashed potatoes had scallion onions in them which neither of us liked. I'm allergic to scallions and I had a heck of a time in the bathroom that night! The mac & cheese was not that good either. We did like the steak though.
This is the first time I’ve been to always and not had steak. The salmon was outstanding. The salads were excellent. The service was also outstanding.
Way over priced. Food was OK. Server was cold and stiff.
This was our first visit to Elway’s and was a lovely surprise. The artichoke was exceptional— Best we’ve had in a long long time – –and the other dishes Were delicious.. We will definitely be back.
Thank you so much for your kind review! We look forward to seeing you again in the near future!
We may have had bad luck but food was OK except for 1 dish which was great and prices were not worth it
Food was as expected, service and was sub-par which brought to just an average experience.
It’s the highlight of each of our Colorado ski vacations. We drove from any of the resorts (Keystone, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge) just to come here. The chocolate cake is absolutely the best you’ve ever had - hands down. Don’t bother ordering any other dessert. All the steaks are great but the filet and strip are the top choices there. Pass on the porterhouse - just get the strip or filet as they’re much better.
There is a problem in vail. The staff is not equal to the amount of money you spend to eat there. Unprofessional, they are ski bums working to ski and it shows. Cherry creek is a whole different experience. The food is not that good there either. A shame to have the same name
Service was awful and food was fair.
One of the best meals I have had. We ordered deviled eggs and artichoke to start. Would definitely order eggs again. Artichoke was ok but dipping sauce was phenomenal. I would oder it again just for the sauce. Sea bass was excellent as was filet. Expensive though, but would certainly come back.
El lugar está bonito, pero nos tocó una mesa metida en una esquina, sin vista y junto a una mesa muy ruidosa. La comida estuvo bien, pero tal vez la molestia del ruido, nos hizo sentirnos incómodos.
Our family has dined at Elway's numerous times over the last few years....the last few found the food great, ambiance lovely and the service....rather mediocre...step if up folks...you've got a great venue....
Best steak in Vail!!! Bone-in filet.
Muy buen servicio, solo que éramos de las últimas mesas y como que nos estaban apurando para irnos
Steak was overdone. Price was rediculous even for Vail. We won’t be back.
Had to send my steak back.
Over cook the brought me a rare steak..
The server was great and very apologetic.
Everyone else’s meals were fantastic.
I was disappointed but we would return because of the outstanding service
Consistent fabulous food!
We discovered Elway's on our last trip to Vail. Realized it was no longer The Wildflower, which we loved. We loved it so much we made it our last dinner in Vail to celebrate our trip. We saved the best for last. The steaks & sauces are unbelievably good, as well as the sides. Wish they had more dessert choices, but we did enjoy sharing the "Classic Ding Dong". (It does need a better name!)
My only critique is the John Elway’s seasoning they put on their steaks... give the diner the choice. I spent $58 on a bone in filet and I don’t want all that seasoning on my steak
Really great food and like most restaurants in Vail, the wine is really expensive.
Elway's was the finest resturant we ate at during our stay in Vail. The food and drinks were first class. Steaks cooked to perfection. Portions were sizable. Wait staff made you feel at home. We will be Back!
Filet mignon was cooked to perfection and our server was excellent.
Chef has a heavy touch. Stick to the red meat items
Service was exceptional. Food was fantastic. Server Eric was great.
Came for my birthday and the food
and service were excellent. Highly
recommend, esp. Lamb chops.
Was an enjoyable experience here.
We love Elway's Vail. The service/the staff are all in it together. Anyone there is ready to help. But not to worry because the waitstaff, your person, is neither one who hovers nor one who forgets you exist. And he came back after a minute or so to see how everything was. I am not one for appetizers ( so I can eat my entree) but the tuna tartare was delicious. And the ribeye just melts in your mouth. That it's primarily known for steaks & seafood makes being GF easy. I didn't share in the very chocolate/cream filled dessert but the table was relatively quiet.!
Awesome service and delicious food
My lamb was extremely chewy. I had a hard time cutting with the knife. Additionally, two other meals, one of bone in fillet was chewy as well, and the other a porterhouse which was not cooked to medium and had to be returned to the kitchen, also resulting in being chewy. Just not up to the standards of Elway's. Very disappointing. The waiter was fine.
Have been to others but thought this was just okay. As with most in vail village it’s pricey and lamb was ok, steak was cooked medium rare but chewy sides were flat. Maybe just an off night
Everything was a great
