Best Authentic Restaurants in Black Hawk

Every so often one encounters a restaurant that beckons for a consecutive night of dining. This is what we found with Volario's. Cocktails were spot-on. Enjoyed courses of arancini and a daily special salad. The salad was a variation of a tomato burrata enhanced with fresh pear, fig and crispy prosciutto... incredible! Loved the wagyu lasagna. Finished off with gelato, lemon brulee and espresso. For night two, we enjoyed a wagyu meatball appetizer and a deliciously crispy crusted Margherita pizza. The staff are delightful -- the sort that you want to invite to pull up a chair and join the table. We look forward to our next opportunity to return. [UPDATE] The missus and I visited a THIRD time in the same week vacationing in Winter Park. Again, we were so impressed by the food, the service and the total experience. Thank you, Carolyn, Brianna, Alyson and the entire Volario's team for making each night more special than the previous one. You made all of the elements of dining greater than the sum of their parts to create memories. We truly appreciate you all!

If I could give Paellas more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! Not only was this the best meal we had in Winter Park, it truly goes down as one of our favorite meals we have had anywhere. Everything was incredible. The quality of the meat was outstanding and so tender it literally melted in my mouth. We started with the ceviche, then had the spicy tenderloin and seafood paella. We finished with the churros and flan, and there was not one thing we would not order again. The service was attentive, the food was phenomenal, and the entire experience was wonderful from start to finish. We will absolutely be back every time we visit Winter Park. Do not sleep on this place if you are looking for a fantastic meal!
