Pho Newcastle is a healthy Vietnamese restaurant with loads of vegan and gluten free options. We specialise in phở, the Vietnamese noodle soup and also serve delicious curries, rice dishes, wok-fried noodles, and fresh salads too. Our starters such as summer rolls and spring rolls are perfect for sharing with friends and family. We also offer an entirely gluten free dessert menu with dishes like Pandan waffles, condensed milk ice cream and a Vietnamese affogato.     It was easy to book online. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Outstanding food.We had the Sunday lunch. Pork and Lamb. Maybe not the cheapest, but definitely the best and worth the money.

    I really like a place that sets out to do a thing and does that thing very well, whether it's a Michelin star or a bacon sandwich. At the Ship, we wanted a light but tasty lunch and a beer. The £12.50 lunch and a pint is a bargain - excellent fish and chips and sea bass with broad bean risotto, and beautifully kept Landlord. Just what we wanted and great value. Friendly service too. Not super-1uick service, but I am sure that that's because the food is cooked fresh. It certainly tastes like it. We've been twice and it's been excellent both times. Also, the balance is just right with dogs - some people hate dogs, especially around food, and others love them. At the Ship, dogs are welcome in the bar and part of the outside, and not allowed in the restaurtant area. That's very well organised to suit (almost) everyone.
