Best Restaurants with a Happy Hour in Hillsdale, New Jersey

We had an outstanding experience at Fire & Oak in Montvale. Our server, David, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and perfectly balanced throughout the meal. The quesadilla appetizer and tuna tartare were both delicious. My son and I had ribeyes cooked perfectly with loaded baked potatoes. My mom loved her chicken fusilli in a tomato‑cream sauce, and my wife said the mussels fra diavolo were the best she’s ever had. Dessert was excellent, especially the chocolate lava cake and coconut crème brûlée. The surprise highlight was the double French press coffee—truly incredible and a must‑order for coffee lovers. The restaurant was immaculate, busy but never loud, and the service was extraordinary. Highly recommend.

I ordered veal saltimboca and requested linguine instead of potatoes…no problem It was delicious and a generous serving. My husband and friend both had the veal Marsala fungi and both absolutely loved it. We were able to hold a conversation with no problem, no need to raise your voice to hear over loud rock music, which was a problem at another restaurant we had gone to last week in Park Ridge. Would highly recommend Alba’s and we are all looking forward to returning there for another meal.
