Our Head Chef's seasonal menu draws on the rich Norfolk larder of produce, much of it sourced on the doorstep, like Brancaster molluscs and local farm reared meats. Rocky Bottoms started out as an 1800s brick kiln with a purpose to fire bricks. Eventually the brick kiln was unable to compete with larger competitors and closed down after WW2. Since this time the brick kiln has offered itself as agricultural storage until it collapsed and stood derelict.In 2008 the brick kiln’s potential and need of restoration was spotted by local fishing family; The Matthews. After years of love and attention, Rocky Bottoms, as we know it today was born. Our doors opened in May 2015, just in time for the start of the crab season. Wonderful evening spent celebrating a special birthday. Nothing was too much. Food delicious. Lovely ambiance and space outside for the children to play. They enjoyed the hula hoops! Great host, all staff very helpful thank you!

Really good food and lovely location for a pub. Ate here twice over our few days in Norfolk and both days were amazing. Both burger and steak had great flavour and the halloumi fries were by far the best I’ve ever eaten at any restaurant. Staff were really friendly and attentive when needed. Would highly recommend the Dun Cow if you are in the area

We've eaten here many times and once again had an outstanding meal. I had the fish and chips and my husband had the pie - both were superb. They were very good about checking for allergens too which was reassuring.
