- MMickSan Diego •1 review5.0Dined todayHighly, highly, highly recommended!!! Really paradise. We came here on Mother's Day just before sunset. The setting and view are incredible!! It must be one of the best restaurant views in the world. The hostess was fantastic and sat us at a great table right away. The service from every staff member was impeccable. We got water right away, and drinks very shortly after. The waiter made great suggestions. There was something for everyone, from kids to vegans. We had the vegan burger, pasta with butter, sweet potato fries, Caesar Salad and Salmon. Everything was fantastic. Absolutely perfect, memorable experience from start to finish. I could see sitting at the bar or one of the reclining chairs outside and sipping on a drink and watching the sunset. It's now top of my list to take out-of-town visitors. It really showcases what a beautiful city San Diego is. I can't wait to go back. It doesn't get much better than this.More infoThe Shores Restaurant - La Jolla Shores Hotel$$$$• American• La Jolla•4.4

- MMicheleGoldSan Diego •9 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoOur party of 5 went to Joey and had a wonderful meal! Sebastian was our server and he did a great job. He told us about Joey, the specials and made recommendations. He gave us time after his explanations to look at the menu. He checked in with us to make sure all was going well throughout the meal. We had a glass of wine, mocktail, martini, smoked old fashioned and passion fruit margarita. All the drinks were very good! The martini came with 3 blue cheese stuffed olives and the shaker with some martini left remained on the table. Our entrees were salmon, tofu veggie wraps, prawn fajitas, chicken fajitas and steak/sushi combination. All the entrees were fantastic. The fajitas came with salsa, crema, guacamole and very fresh corn tortillas. The protein in the fajitas were cooked perfectly, well seasoned and juicy. The veggies in the fajitas were also well seasoned, very fresh and a perfect texture. The salmon was nice and flaky, it was served over mashed potatoes. The lettuce wraps were well seasoned and the steak with the avocado tuna sushi was great. It was a different take on a surf and turf that was a welcome change. We couldn't pass up dessert and had the baked Alaska and cheesecake. The baked Alaska was a treat and something you don't see on menus often. The meringue was lightly toasted to perfection and the ice cream, cake and sauce were in perfect proportions. The creme brulee cheesecake was a nice creation and was very tasty. The food was a good value when compared to similar restaurants. The service was great and when I realized the next day my sunglasses fell out of my pocket I contacted the restaurant and they found them! That definitely doesn't happen very often. We will be going back and recommend others try it as well.More infoJOEY La Jolla$$$$• American• San Diego•4.8
