Best Lunch Restaurants in Northallerton

It’s always good and our recent visit was no exception. Thanks to the Crathorne team.

We visted The Black Horse Inn @ Kirkby Fleetham for lunch on a Thursday. The resturant and bar were both busy but not overly so. Staff - who were busy with a fair few customers dining - were friendly and welcoming and made sure that we were settled into a table which allowed our Labrador space to lie down without encroaching upon other tables/diners. Menu and wine list offered all looked (and was) good. Forgoing a starter (which all looked very tempting and appertising), we selected some traditional (pub) mains - a Chicken Parmo for my wife and a Steak & Ale Pie with a side order of Red Cabbage for myself. Both came as generous portions, with no real needs for my side, and both were absolutely delicious Food, when it arrived, was provided for a good generous portion and absolutely delicious. The generous size of our mains meant that we diecuded to forgo a dessert (although we were really tempted). Overall service was decently paced and appropriately attentive - perfect for our desired leisurely lunch. Nice to have no overbearing piped background music. All in all an absolutely delight...

First visit to Betty's. Excellent experience throughout.

Such a loverly family environment for my son’s birthday meal. Especially relaxing for a Sen family as our boys both have additional needs. The staff we super helpful and friendly. Service was top quality. Drinks were nice and refreshing, food was a quality that was above outstanding and the prices are more than reasonable. The was 7 of us and my in-laws paid for the drinks. How ever 7 mains cost (£97.37) and then 2 puddings (£17) as on was £10 as it was a sharing pudding. In all honesty I was expecting to pay more for what we had. The portion sizes we more than worth the money.
