Best Restaurants for Birthdays in Grosse Pointe Woods

Friendly greeting upon arrival, seated in an uncrowded dining area. Perfectly lit and decorated to give just the right amount of ambiance. From the caesar salad to the incredible steak and sides, all the way to dessert the food was awesome. Our server, Ryan was informative, gave us great background on the menu, and suggested a few things that we tried and loved. He was attentive and took care of our meal exactly the way a server should. This place is 10/10 and we will be back.

It was a very quiet night at Javier’s Downtown when we went prior to a concert. The service was excellent. We have dietary restrictions that make eating out difficult but our server was great about checking with the chef about what would work for us. Our meal was delicious. We were there early and able to take advantage of the Happy Hour drink menu - a great value. I loved that we were able to have a leisurely meal but never felt ignored by our server. The vibe is very eclectic and fun - lots of lights, music playing in the background. They do include a 20% gratuity on the check, but our server pointed that out to us when he delivered our bill - and had it highlighted - so there was no missing that piece.

Experience ZuZu is hands down my favorite restaurant in Detroit! Every visit is a great experience, and they consistently deliver. The oysters are my absolute favorite of any restaurant I've tried. I honestly haven't found any that compare! Their signature cocktails are always amazing, too, and there's something about the overall atmosphere that makes a night out here feel special. They also make birthdays fun with a special birthday dessert, which is such a nice touch. One thing I really appreciate is that the manager is actually out on the floor greeting guests and making people feel welcome. He's always great, and those little details make a difference. Between the food, cocktails, atmosphere, and hospitality, ZuZu checks all the boxes. It's one of those places I genuinely look forward to going back to every time. Highly recommend!

The food was delicious and the drink was made perfect. I will definitely go back again especially for their lunch menu.
