Diners at The Globe will feast on numerous small plates designed to be shared: Diver scallop with tamarind brown butter & pig’s ear crackling, Laab of venison with pork fat & khmer spices, or the headliner; an Ex-Dairy Bone-in sirloin steak with bone marrow & prahok dripping, chilli relish. I treated my team of 6 to a nice meal here, and we were delighted! Delicious food, quality house wines, and the service was superb - the waiters made us feel very welcome and they feel more like hosts than just serving the food. Nothing was too much trouble, we had a lovely time. Only one complaint - we booked an outside table, given the lovely weather, but music was blaring out of a speaker system. We complained but they refused to turn it down, saying Fridays have a live DJ. But we went there to eat & talk, not to dance!!! So this policy needs changing. We had to move inside, where the noise level was more suitable for dinner. We'll definitely be back, this is a top notch place, and good value considering the roof top terrace & central location.
