The Hoffman House restaurant, in the scenic Hudson Valley, opened for business in June of 1977. The building is a fine example of Early American Dutch rubble architecture featuring wide planked random width board floors, a fire place in each of the main rooms and many small multi-level rooms.The Hoffman House is located at the corner of the historic Stockade district in Kingston NY, and once served as fortification and a lookout. Today the Hoffman House serves a continental fare, featuring steaks, fresh seafood, pasta specialties and homemade artisan desserts. An open-air, beautifully landscaped garden patio, enhances outdoor dining in the summer, while you can cozy up next to one of our three large stone fireplaces in the winter.

Dining at The Old Inn on the Green is an extraordinary experience: fine wine, great food, attentive, knowledgeable service and the dining rooms illuminated only by candle light. Chef and Owner Peter Platt, along with his team, work to create innovative and memorable meals that are an event unto themselves. Currently, we are offering a $95 prix fixe menu with 5-6 choices per course every night we are open. The hours for dinner are Wednesday through Sunday 5:30 pm to 9:00 pm for both indoors and in an all new screened outdoor room. The wine list is graced with an array of thoughtfully selected estate bottled wines from France, California, Italy and around the world.     Phenomenal restaurant. Peter is an amazing Chef. The host that greeted us was also very professional and really nice. The servers were all courteous and very consistent with everything we needed.

    This restaurant is so unique! The atmosphere is by far the reason to come but you’re pleasantly surprised that the food and service is just as amazing. My husband and I went on the last day of their 2025 season and I’m honestly bummed I didn’t know about this place sooner so I could come more before they closed for the cold months. We will be returning when they open again in the spring! My husband had the half chicken which was cooked perfectly and was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside from being made in their wood-fire oven. I had the margherita pizza which is one of my favorites and theirs was done very well. 5/5 stars!
