- KKenWisconsin •1 review5.0Dined 4 days agoTo celebrate special occasions, it's tough to beat the Harbor House. The setting is elegantly casual, the staff is friendly and attentive and the food is absolutely amazing. And it's quiet enough – even when fully packed with people – to enjoy a conversation. My wife and I recently celebrated a wedding anniversary there and couldn't have asked for a better experience. Our waiters, Tony and Wilbur, were well informed about the menu and very friendly and attentive. My wife ordered poached Alaskan halibut and I ordered branzino, a Mediterranean sea bass stuffed with lemons and herbs and roasted to perfection. The branzino comes as a whole fish – head, tails and fins included – not a fillet. It was a bit of an adventure removing the inedible parts, but it was fun to try something different – and the delicate flavors of the meat were well worth the effort. My wife's halibut was excellent, too. For dessert, we received a complimentary caramel custard-like dish (not creme brûlée!) that was the perfect topper for a fine meal. It also included a "Happy Anniversary" message, written on the plate in chocolate syrup – a classy touch. The entire meal also was well paced; we didn't feel at all rushed. Combined with a beautiful view of the Milwaukee harbor and Lake Michigan, it all made for a truly memorable evening.More infoHarbor House$$$$• Seafood• Milwaukee•4.6
