Best Restaurants for Handcrafted Cocktails in Sewell

Celebrated my daughter's college graduation. The service and food was second to none. Our server Rakim made us feel right at home.

Absolutely amazing experience from the ambience to the drinks to the service. Our server was very attentive and knowledgeable. The omakase cocktail is such a great idea. We enjoyed every drink we ordered and every dish we ate. Maybe the best hot dog I've ever had in my life.

I don’t even know how to put this into words because this experience was incredible. This wasn’t just dinner. It felt like being part of something. Every course that came out was so thoughtful and beautiful and so delicious. You could feel how much care went into every single detail. And the service… the best I’ve ever experienced. One of my favorite parts was watching the team do what they do. The way the team worked together, putting everything together so intentionally, it literally felt like watching a symphony. Everyone knew exactly what they were doing, moving together, creating these dishes that felt like art. I left just feeling really full in every sense…not just from the food, but from the whole experience. You can tell and FEEL the passion behind what they’re doing.

I chose National Mechanics because it's near a performance space my part of three had tickets for after dinner and because it accommodates vegetarians and vegans. There are 12 vegetarian and 3 vegan items on the menu and some of the veg items can be made vegan. I ate and liked very much two of the three vegan dishes: the veggie burger, which is NOT a Beyond Burger (I don't enjoy faux beef) but a flavorful mashup of carrot, zucchini, squash, broccoli and mushroom topped with lettuce, tomato and onion on a vegan roll with cashew chipotle sauce; and a side for the table of a generous serving of plantain chips with guac, which were just as tasty as the burger. There's also vegan balsamic roasted vegetables — carrot, butternut squash, red onion, potato and Brussels sprouts with balsamic glaze — which I want to try next time. Beer selection is excellent. Service is excellent. Ambience is excellent. What more can I say?
