We were really impressed with our first visit to The Mexican STL. It had been on our "visit" list since we saw the restaurant listed as a top new restaurant for 2026, and we were blown away. The decor is cool, the house music is fun, the food was fantastic, and our service was terrific, too! Our visit was on Halloween, so it was pretty neat that the wait staff got into the costumes as well. We'll definitely spread the word and bring friends next time around! :)

Thus was the best meal I've had in a long time. I started with a small apple and fig salad (with goat cheese and candied pecans) and then had the chicken piccata as my entrée. My sister had the chicken speidini: both entrées were served over a bed of risotto wirh vegetables on the side. *Everything* was absolutely superb! We live in Florissant, so we only chose to dine there because it was close The Factory, where we were going for a performance, but we're already talking about going back with a couple of friends for our annual birthday lunch/dinner (three of the four of us have February birthdays). Kudos to the chef! And, the service was excellent, as was the ambience -- it was a fabulous meal served in an elegant setting.

The Mushroom Reuben is one of my favorites and didn’t disappoint. The beet salad is very substantial and tasty. We had a good server, Cheney, who was very attentive. All in all a good experience.
