Foghorn Brewery was born of a dream to make craft beer the way it ought to be made—from grain to glass all under one roof.The historic building in King Street had been abandoned for several years when we first set foot inside. In that dusty old warehouse, we saw the potential to create something really special.And so it was that Newcastle’s first modern craft brewery opened its doors in April 2015. The town’s industrial roots have played a big part in shaping the unique character of Foghorn Brewery. Built from the ground up, this art deco era warehouse with exposed roof trusses now houses a custom 1800 litre brewery.

    Great experience! Very nice & authentic japanese foods with a massive cocktail and wine selection. Staff were welcoming and helpful with food / drink selection. Love the atmosphere of the place, feels classical with the music being played on vinyls and exciting waiting to hear what comes on next. Highly recommend for a date night or japanese food experience with friends.

    We’ve been to thirsty Messiah a few times now. The beer selection is great and Thomas’ willingness to talk through his latest creation is always an education. He and his team go out of their way to make you feel welcome and resolve any concerns you might have. Topping it off is their great selection of food. Thanks again folks for another great experience!

    We eat out every Thursday with another couple, usually rotating around varies pubs and restaurants. The Shorty has become one of our favourite locations to meet, chat, catchup and enjoy are great meal. In all our visits we have never experienced a bad meal. Staff are supper friendly and go out of their way to help, which makes for a enjoyable night.
