Best Restaurants for Local Ingredients in Calistoga

Probably the best dining experience of my life. Each dish was so thoughtfully designed and the flavors were incredible. Cuisine is very Japanese inspired. We are planning to return in the fall. Was worth the price.

El Dorado Kitchen did not disappoint, as always. The food was not only delicious, but the presentation gorgeous. We had reservations and were seated immediately. For a busy Sunday brunch it all moved along very smoothly. Our server Armando, was excellent. Professional, and yet, very friendly. The salmon tartare appetizer was incredible, as was the lamb Bolognese main dish. We truly enjoyed our strawberry rhubarb crisp for dessert as well - amongst other apps and mains. Will definitely return!

Our waiter Jeff was outstanding. It appeared that the entire team at Cook was thoroughly engaged. Everyone was smiling. It’s a very intimate restaurant setting. Very small. The pasta which is homemade was absolutely wonderful. It is a little loud, so be prepared for that. If you want to quiet evening, you’ll need to find another restaurant. But you should give Cook a try. Just wonderful.
