- KKimberlyChicago / Illinois •1 review5.0Dined 5 days agoI had lunch at an incredible price point of $45 for the art Lovers Lunch choice. The restaurant was impeccably clean with a very quiet and pleasant atmosphere. It was almost sold out and yet kept a leisurely feel and a quiet sound level. The staff was everything you could expect, timely, efficient, pleasant and I felt treated me with respect and a quiet kindness which made my day. I chose the burrata for my opener. This was a slice of heaven. The burrata was perfectly creamy and soft accompanied by the tastes of pistachio, fresh strawberries, mango and the rhubarb strawberry compote. It was creamy and warm with highlights of nuttiness, and touched with sweetness, a slight taste of bitter, pepper and salt. It was a bit of heaven and if I could have it a few times a week I would spend my days humming. I paired this with the Spring Fizz which was perfect tasting of pineapple, lime and rose water. I chose the rabbit tortellini for my main. It was balanced perfectly with a Parmesan chicken consome and spring peas and fava beans. The depth of the rabbit meeting the crisp freshness of the beans and the warmth of the consome. I also chose to add the special dessert made for the Kahlo exhibit. It was beautifully presented fresh, light and fruity. I couldn’t have been more pleased with the length of my visit or the quality of the food. I will visit again next time I’m in Houston. Can’t recommend a better luncheon experience.More infoLe Jardinier - Houston$$$$• French• Heights / Washington•4.7
