- WWilliamPhiladelphia County •2 reviews5.0Dined 3 days agoOverall it was great. The food was excellent. As with traditional omakase practice, Chef Tashiro chose the ingredients at their peak seasonality. No frills. Clean and quality ingredients. The best part of my experience was the service. From door to seat, they cover your concerns and needs. Or even things, I didn't think I would need! An example of this is I brought my camera and a bag and such and they immediately brought over a basket to place them in by our feet. The key is they perceived, asked, and provided a solution. Amazing service from my experience. The space itself is clean. It's empty not to the point of austerity but to the point where there isn't a busyness to the space. As it states on their website, the decor is inspired by a Japanese tea house.."simple yet elegant." It does create an environment that allows you to focus on the food but you really do appreciate the unadorned, raw, natural feel of the space. I do believe comparison is the thief of joy. I didn't go in there to compare it to other omakases that I have been to. Instead I look for what the chef and restaurant are trying to achieve.I try to do some research on the chef and see his vision, his values. In short, Chef Tashiro is committed to the craft and artistry of traditional Japanese sushi making. On that front, I think he delivers. The noise level was moderate. Seating was at capacity and everyone was having their own conversations. My sister was next to me but I had to lean over to hear what she had to say and vice versa. It's hard to control how other parties will moderate or not moderate their voices so I don't think that is on the restaurant. We may just have had a particularly more boisterous bunch. I would highly recommend Naoki!More infoNaoki Sushi$$$$• Sushi• Princeton•4.8

The oysters were impeccable, you could cut the New York strip with a spoon, and the blackened shrimp were cooked absolutely perfect! I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t planning my next meal there already!More infoJules@Market$$$$• Seafood• Bristol•4.9
