Best Seasonal Restaurants in Westlake, Cleveland / Akron / Canton

This restaurant is one of only a few in our area with consistently good upscale food and service. The place was packed for dinner on Memorial Day, so the noise level was pretty high for the first hour. The food courses arrived a little slowly, which we expected, yet the servers remained amiable and professional while under pressure. Because it was so crowded, the kitchen was out of a few dishes, including the short ribs I was going to order. But the menu is large enough that I easily found other options. The grouper entree was hot when served and very tender. The fish and creamy mashed potatoes were well-seasoned. The asparagus was good as well, though four skinny spears seemed a bit stingy, and one needed to be trimmed more. The gnocchi with chicken was delicious as well, a dish we would order again. The chocolate cake with ganache was moist and rich. The only disappointment was the calamari appetizer, so much so that we stopped eating it after only a few bites. The sliced squid rings were tough and thin. The absence of any tentacles made us wonder if we were eating squid. The batter on the pieces was hard, with an almost plastic-like consistency. If the calamari had any flavor of its own it was concealed in an over abundance of cloyingly sweet sauce. But our enjoyment of the rest of the meal made up for that. We have had reliably great meals here and look forward to many more.

Reservation was on time. Service was fast and friendly. Excellent menu.

Service was prompt and welcoming, food was good, overall a great experience as usual at Rosewood Grill.

We had a family member in a wheelchair and they were very accommodating. Our server was wonderful and we always love the atmosphere!

It was my anniversary and they had rose petals and a card at the table when we arrived and also gave us a dessert to share they made it so special
