Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Jamestown

We had a nice, special-occasion lunch planned and chose Oliver’s because of the expected bayfront view, food quality and nearby location. We found convenient on-street parking. The sky was cloudy but soon cleared, and our window seating gave us a beautiful view of the Erie bayfront. We enjoyed the shrimp & lobster bisque, blue crab ravioli and walleye sandwich. This is a good location for special occasions, especially when the weather is clear to enjoy the view.

This is my family’s 2nd time visiting Erie & dining at this restaurant in late October 2026. It was a pleasant evening & the meals were superb, particularly the belly-on pork chop which was delicious & savory. the server was knowledgeable & friendly. The manager, Christina, was attentive to all diners in the evening. We would come back to dine here again on our next visit. Thanks to the chefs & the staff.

The pork chop was outstanding, and the salmon was delicious! We also loved splitting the wedge salad. Too huge for one person!

This was such a lovely dinner experience! We stopped here on our way from Buffalo to Griffith's Sculpture Park's Night Lights Event and it was the perfect fall dinner stop! We had a steak dinner and one of the pasta dishes and both were awesome! Oh! And we had GREAT old fashions! One was their seasonal Apple Cider Old Fashion and then a second was the classic and both were perfect!
