Best Restaurants for Special Occasions in Moss Landing

Another great dinner at Casanova. We returned after our first trip two years ago and had the same outstanding meals. Cannaloni and Dover sole. Both absolutely incredible. Service was great and decor enhances the experience. Must stop if you are visiting Carmel.

This was one of the best lunches I’ve ever had. First, we were seated at the end of a long peninsula dining room built over the water. We had spectacular views of Monterey Bay on both sides. Second, the service was impeccable. Our server and her assistant supervised our meal with friendly precision. We never wanted for anything. Third, the food itself. We were parented with artfully crafted plates with an abundance of food. I’m I had the crab stuffed shrimp pasta and my friend had the crab and shrimp roll. We both had the New England clam chowder, which was melt in the mouth delectable. The dessert tray had at least ten choices, each as desirable as the next. All told, Fish Hopper is a not-miss restaurant when visiting and dining in Monterey.

We really enjoyed our meal at Chez Noir. The staff was excellent. They took our coats upon arrival and were great about checking in on us. They gave us some great information about the dishes to help guidance our decisions. The cocktails and food were excellent, with the exception of the fish dish. The fish missed the mark. This was disappointing, considering the cost of the meal and the fact that it's a main course. Everything else was excellent. We loved the additional touches, like the light "snack" they gave us before our meal, the chocolate chip cookies we received before leaving, as well as Caneles right after our meal.

We had the best experience from the moment we walked in the door. The food was amazing and our waiter Antonio was so kind, knowledgeable, and welcoming. We will definitely be back when we are in the area!

Sur at the Barnyard was a positive dining experience for my date and I. Our waiter was upbeat and friendly, but also good at his job. Our food came out quick and was delicious. It can be tricky to find if it is your first time going there, but not too crazy.
