- LLibbyGoldWashington, D.C. Area •52 reviews5.0Dined on May 29, 2026I love Bistro Cacao for special occasions, and this time we went to celebrate our anniversary with another couple. The welcome attitude of all the staff through the entire meal was heart-warming. We got a terrific recommendation on a red wine after some toasts with Prosecco. The cherry gazpacho was an innovative and tasty treat as one of the starters. Bistro Cacao does fantastic things with steak and red meats, and the asparagus vegetable was so fresh. We had desserts and coffee and the Bistro added an extra little white chocolate treat specifically to mark our anniversary. Thank you for a fantastic evening with special friends for this important occasion!More infoBistro Cacao$$$$• French• Capitol Hill•4.9
- FFrancisWashington, D.C. Area •9 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 27, 2026My wife and I had a wonderful dinner date at Fog Leaf Bar & Lounge before heading to a candlelight concert across the street. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt cozy and inviting, perfect for a pre-concert evening. While the valet parking was a bit slow, everything else about our experience more than made up for it. The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. My wife ordered the “Za’atar Chicken Skewers” (tender yogurt-marinated chicken paired with pearl couscous, spiced carrots, almonds, and a touch of preserved lemon demi-glaze). I had the “Ropa Vieja” (a flavorful tomato-braised flank steak served with sweet plantains, white rice, black beans, and roasted peppers). Both dishes were bursting with flavor and perfectly balanced. The cocktails were another highlight. I ordered the “Scarlet Reign”, a creative mix of Reposado tequila, pomegranate, spiced date syrup, lemon, and sherry and it was outstanding. My wife’s custom drink, made especially for her by the bartender, was just as delightful. Our server was fantastic, friendly, attentive, and even offered to take multiple pictures of us, which made the evening feel that much more special. Overall, Fog Leaf Bar & Lounge is a gem. Delicious food, thoughtful cocktails, and great service made for a memorable night. We’ll definitely be returning soon.More infoFigleaf Bar & Lounge$$$$• Cocktail Bar• Downtown•4.3

A fun loving wedding party was celebrating the special day at the restaurant’s bar. It was a joy to watch but a nightmare to eat with friends due to the noise level. And John saved the day! A table was moved to the beautiful lobby bar and Frey the sweetest server was there for us. Thanks to all the four of us had a great evening.More infoDegrees Bistro at The Ritz-Carlton, Georgetown$$$$• Contemporary American• Georgetown•4.1
