This was my first time at Max Downtown and I’ll definitely be back!! The food was amazing and the service was even better. They were SO accommodating with a gluten sensitivity and even have GF rolls which was a nice surprise :) Our waitress and the manager went above and beyond to make a birthday special. We had the best experience for our first visit to The Laurel on November 1st. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the food was unique and so delicious! Drinks were just as great. We visited on the occasion of my birthday, and staff presented us with complimentary bubbly and a birthday candle in an amazing chocolate cake. Thank you for serving such a wonderful and memorable birthday lunch! We’ll definitely be back to visit again.

I gather that dinner is done as a pop up, and there was a wedding going on in the main room, so.we were in the cafe area. The food and service were excellent, with a broader menu than expected for a pop up. The only slight downside was the lack of formality of the room and tables - it was a little less fancy. Throw some tablecloths on and we wouldn't have noticed! We go back in a heartbeat though for a quirky, fun and delicious dinner.
