I was visiting Seattle from Chicago and had heard rave reviews about Charcoal. So my friend and I decided to try it. Chicago has many excellent restaurants, and Charcoal was just as good as any of them. I had a glass of Pinot Noir to go with my steak. The beets were delicious. The asparagus & potato on the side were delicious. The horseradish sauce to serve with the steak was delicious. And although we were stuffed and almost passed on dessert, we loved all the other courses so much that we ordered the chocolate cake. It was dense yet not overly sweet, served with whipped cream. We were not disappointing. It was delicious, and we ate every bite. Try it. I can't imagine you'll be disappointed.

My husband and I celebrated my birthday at Carmine’s in Bellevue, and it was one of those dining experiences that reminds you why certain restaurants become favorites. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. Our server, Terence (“T”), was outstanding: warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making the evening special without ever being overbearing. The food was absolutely delicious. I ordered the Fettuccine Al Pesto con Gamberoni with pesto and prawns, and it was incredible. I especially love that Carmine’s offers both small and large portions, which lets you enjoy a rich pasta dish without feeling like you have to commit to an enormous serving. My husband had the Grilled King Salmon Battuto and couldn’t stop talking about how good it was. The drink menu is just as impressive. They have an extensive wine list, great champagne selections, and excellent cocktails. The espresso martinis are fantastic and the perfect way to end the meal. What really elevated the evening were the thoughtful touches. The staff beautifully prepared our table for my birthday and surprised me with a complimentary tiramisu complete with a candle. It made the celebration feel personal and memorable. The location itself is beautiful, and with the outdoor patio now open for summer, it’s an even better spot to visit. Bonus points for being dog-friendly, which we always appreciate. Outstanding food, exceptional service, a gorgeous setting, and genuine hospitality. We’re already planning our next visit. Carmine’s made my birthday feel truly special.

My wife, son and I went to the Twisted Cuban for Mother's day and received fantastic service, drinks and food at a reasonable price. We were introduced to some outstanding aged rum to share and were wowed by the casual vibe again. (We have been there in the past). In addition the great food my wife chose the restaurant due to its proximity to wine tasting in Woodinville. When I found out she chose the Twisted Cuban I was candidly excited due our positive experiences in the past. I can highly recommend the Lechon Asado (roast pork) and my wife loves the Filete de Pescado (pan seared fish). OK my mouth is watering thinking of the aside. ;-)
