Everything was excellent.
Thank goodness they were running their special, or we definitely would have overpaid! Service was incredibly slow; they were great about cleaning dishes and refilling water, but our actual waitress took forever to turn things around. Food was excellent, and ambiance is great if you're near the windows but underwhelming otherwise.
Delicious and served impeccably. Sons enjoyed sharing the 40oz steak! Sides and dessert portions very large. Perfect for my 70th birthday dinner. Thank you!
Lovely setting with views up the ski hills. We thought the mussels appetizer was the best part of the meal besides the souffle dessert. The entree service on butcher block rounds didn't seem appropriate for our hamburgers which were dripping with sauces and juices and both entrees were undercooked for our stated preferences...they did have good flavor. Our cocktail and wine were good though ' light pours' as priced. Service was very pleasant and timely.
We love Flame and feel like family whenever we dine there. The food is top notch, a large step above your traditional steakhouse dining. This is our favorite restaurant by far in Vail!

As to better eating options in Vail there are not too many and so between Flame and Elway's I guess Flame is better. The regular rib-eye at $72 was disgusting, the bison rib-eye much better. I would go back but only because there are not too many options.

Brunch buffet was amazing
OMG this place is incredible. My wife wanted to go to a steakhouse for her birthday. Boy, this place does not disappoint. A place that can make a really great steak is hard to find and we're often underwhelmed. We split the 24oz aged T-bone, which was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. It was probably the best steak I've ever had. Also the lobster bisque appetizer and the brussel sprouts, lobster mashed potatoes and bacon wrapped asparagus sides were amazing. Flame is part of the Four Seasons Hotel so it's not cheap, but they certainly deliver on an amazing food and experience.
Disappointing. Expected excellence but didn’t happen. Cameron was great, the bread was fine but then it went downhill. The octopus was warm, not hot and slimy on one side. My wife’s risotto, for $24 was hot, but less than a half cup lost on a large bowl. I ordered the venison chops medium rare as I always do. As a hunter I know about cooking venison. The char on one side was very tasty, but the other side was a bit raw, difficult to cut with the steak knife, and if it wasn’t so dark in there I would have sent it back. It wasn’t hot either. My wife is a vegetarian so she had mixed vegetables and they were beautifully colored but cold. The price was high which I expect in Vail. But the overall experience was poor.

Ask to sit in Cameron’s section. He’s the best. If you like steak, this is the place to go.
The food is excellent and the atmosphere is very relaxed. You can take your time to study the menu and the winelist (no hectic as in other Vail restaurants). Friendly and very good service.
Excellent food. Indoor a bit old fashioned. Noise level was a bit high. Very friendly waitresses. Would go there again!

Amazing food.. Filet Mignon was excellent, and my daughter had the wagyu flat iron steak which was SO flavorful.. Beautiful elegant atmosphere.. And the busser "Rica" provided us with the most amazing service & attitude, she really made our night. Flame will be on our list every time we visit Vail.

Very average. Steaks were not cooked to order and both of us had to send it back. Service was not attentive considering it was not enough busy.

The salad was served 20 minutes late, and the steak was rushed to the table when we were not finished with the salad. The steak was served lukewarm since it was cooked and waited too long for us to finish the salad. That was very disappointing having a piece of lukewarm steak in a top class steak house in Vail.
The special ordered soufflé took 25 minutes of prep time which is not unusual. However the soufflé tasted more like a dense chocolate cake than a true soufflé! The 2 decaf cappuccino were served lukewarm as well!
We did our best to convince ourselves that my wife’s birthday celebration was great & we had a great time. At the end, we knew we may not come back to this place again. There are just too many great places to eat such as Almeresi, Left Banks, La tour, just to name a few.
Our server was excellent and none of these was her fault. The place is best suited for business dinners and I would not recommend it for an intimate date night.
Vail definitely has some fine dining and I've been to all of them. This is always a must for our group every year! Show up early and have a drink at Remedy Bar the floor above. A +++++
when our reservation went from 7 to 8 people they gave us a hard time to pop out an extra chair. Which by the way we had a space for. But after that, the rest of our evening went really well. The food was very good and the service was great. Some of our favorites were the brussel sprouts and the bacon goat cheese potatoes.

We had the 40 ounce wagu beef ribeye. It was tender, flavorful, and delicious. We had not simply a meal, but a dining experience. The legendary flame hot chocolate is not to be missed. All of the sides were terrific. We had the donuts for dessert and they were terrific. We also had the apple crisp and that was delicious as well. It was a memorable meal, A five-star experience from start to finish. The only area I think they could improve upon is the bread. Some people may love it but I did not. Their cocktail menu was also a bit skimpy. Many excellent steak restaurants have a large variety of martinis and or specialty cocktails. I feel that adds to the overall experience. In spite of those two minor shortcomings, I would gladly eat there again.
Great time. Overpriced and the steak options for filets were limited. Service was “ok” and the restaurant was really dark. Great restaurant, just needs a little more direction.
Excellent service, Tatiana was knowledgeable about the food , its preparation and the portion size . Food preparation and quality very good. wine list properly priced .Oversll flame’s experience was top rate .
First not great experience. Food was undercooked with very little apology. We will be back but not if this level of experience continues. For this price point you have to be 100% dialed in and they were 60. That’s a D, people. Step it back up.
Nice atmosphere food was ok considering the ratings & stars given... although I suggested Pittsburgh for my file mignon...it did not come out as requested..for the Expense of this establishment.. there are many others locally where foods better & less expensive.. waitress was friendly
They seemed to be under-staffed. They were nice t attentive and we had long periods without service, The expensive steaks weren’t so good to justify the price.

Our second time here food and all is great will keep returning when in town
