Izakaya Den is Denver’s popular Japanese gastropub, modeled after the lively after hours establishments found throughout Japan. The restaurant is located on South Pearl Street and is the second restaurant of the Kizaki brothers, founders and owners of Sushi Den.     Celebrating our departure from the Denver area with two special friends, we couldn’t think of a better place than our go-to restaurant. The best cuts of prime beef cooked to perfection. The Sunday prix fix menu is an incredible value. We will miss Shanahan’s, but look forward to returning when visiting the area.

    This was our third time dining and we had a great experience. Very attentive servers and they were great in answering all our questions The focaccia is a must. Frito misto was excellent with very fresh seafood. Lamb chops were wonderful ( the arugula was a little salty for some of us but ok) Mafaldine was excellent. The vanilla gelato with a light pour of aged vinegar was different and fantastic. All in all -a great evening.

    I LOVE Nobu restaurants and this one came in very similar. Our waitress Eva was outstanding and the food was delicious.You can never go wrong with the yellowtail jalapeño sashimi. Eva recommended most of what we tried and it was all really good. For dessert we had the coconut mochi cake with ube ice cream and it was surreal. The attention to detail and service from all the staff is 100/10. Definitely recommend and will come back.

    Always a treat! This was a special lunch with a long-time friend. We both had challenges this past year, and we were able to cry and share. Our waiter was so respectful and great. He was there when we needed him but gave us the space we needed. I had the spicy rigatoni, and my friend had a caprese sandwich, both of which were spectacular. We had the Dark chocolate bundino with cherries! It was so very good and surprising.

    This place is outstanding. Crowded but not overwhelming. Menu is limited, in a good way. The restaurant presents a number of simple and complex options, and everything tastes as fresh as can possibly be. We started with dressed oysters, then a kale salad - both dishes perfectly prepared. Then lobster pasta, and salmon, again extremely fresh. The complimentary table rolls are also nostalgically warm, buttery and seasoned with salt and garlic. I'd only been here for lunch, but definitely coming back for dinner soon!
