We had an excellent lunch. Our server was attentive & made some excellent selection for our lunch. Food was excellent. We thought the ambiance was especially creative
Acoustics so so; menu fine, a touch limited.
Would go again.
The whole experience was WONDERFUL - and so were the next day leftovers.
We had a really special night! The food and the ambiance was perfect! The customer service was above and beyond. We will back for sure!
Change in atmosphere and drop in food quality. Reduced number of choices on menu.
Excellent food and service! We were visiting Evanston, heard about the place and liked it so much the first time we went there that we returned the next night!
A spontaneous supper to celebrate life and laughter. Delicious drinks set the stage for perfect plates. Try the eggs!
Delicious selections and non intrusive service. Soft lighting and easily able to converse. Great wine selections. I’d go back!!!
The place in general has excellently blended the coziness of a cafe with the ambience of fine dining. Loved it. It felt like a hidden treat just outside Chicago. Great date escape. And our waitress was outstanding.
It was Found but now it has Lost its character. Before it recently reinvented itself it was eclectic, creative, fun, and had excellent dishes and intriguing ambiance. Now it is good but not great with a staff sloppily dressed in a manner more suitable for a two bit diner. Not to disparage two bit diners. I love them. But Found is not a diner and does not have diner prices. It’s not what it used to be.
I had asked for a birthday recognition for one of our guests when we arrived. It was never acknowledged despite an assurance from the hostess.
We chose all the appetizers to start and we shared the plates. All four of us loved the starters. I had The burger which was moist and delicious. My friend chose the French dip beef which was also very good. The ladies had the salmon and crispy chicken. Both went over well.
Food came out very unevenly, service accommodated well.
Delicious meal and cocktails. Sat in center of the room. Very noisy but excellent vibe.
3 of us had your salad. I had it with salmon. The lettuce was fresh, but I expected the salmon to be grilled, not breaded and deep fried. Also, it was too small. The dressing was excellent. As usual there was no bread or rolls brought to the table. One person had your special sandwich, but didn't finish it. It sounded delicious but I don't know why he didn't finish it. He's a hearty eater. This was the second time we went to Found for lunch. It was all right, but not good enough to return to. I think if you'd kick it up a couple of notches, it would be a destination restaurant. ELB
We met up with a couple of friends and had a great time. Found's staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and accessible. The meal was perfect. We four shared the pork. It was super yum.
Great bar and entrees. Appetizers a little more hit & miss.
Amazing food, i loved the avocado toast. The pot de creme dessert was outstanding!
The waitstaff was wonderful ! We loved the ambiance and will go back for date night!
Big disappointment. Ridiculously slow service. Two hours for lunch to get all the food. Almost ran out of coins for the parking meter. $18 for cheese and crackers as an appetizer for 4. Very small potion. Hamburgers good but ice cream took 30minutes to arrive. We were comped for two ice creams by management. They say they are a sharing menu but choices are few. C rating overall at best. Won’t be back. Not worth the trip.
David, our server, was amazing. We were on a tight schedule, and he made sure that we had plenty of time to enjoy a great meal. We are so happy that we found Found!
Found is still my favorite restaurant in Evanston.
Unique dishes. A place to go when you have time to eat and enjoy the menu
The restaurant specializes in small plates that are meant to be shared. The food was good but not special, as I think small plates should be.
Great vibe and terrific food all based on local ingredients. The restaurant's philosophy is the food is served when it's ready so dishes come to the table at different times which was more fun than I thought it would be. Dishes are also meant to be shared even though they are "small plates." I was a little worried we would run up quite a bill with sharing because our "order" averaged more than one plate per person, but it worked out to be an excellent value. The blueberry shortcake dessert was unforgettable with flecks of fresh mint in the whipped cream that added a refreshing element. Service is laid back and friendly, but efficient. I wish this restaurant were closer to where we live because I would want to go once a month.
In town to visit graduate student son and daughter-in law. had eaten there several years ago. Good then, great now. Loved the small plates, variety, etc.
A lovely place for shared plates in a relaxed atmosphere.
The food was fabulous! It was great to share a lot of different plates with our table.
The restaurant itself is just a fun space and eclectic.
We will definitely return.
The food was superb - every order we consumed. And they provided my birthday gal wife her favorite couch in the entire place. Absolutely superb seasoning and presentation every course!
Fantastic locally sourced food, even better service. Will be back soon!
We met to celebrate a successful fundraising event. The service was great, and the food was delicious and presented beautifully. Found is a feast for the eyes as well as the nose and tongue; the pot for my Earl Grey tea was eclectic and tall, and the men's room is beautifully decorated with whimsical animals. The crispy chicken thighs with chickpeas was delicious, and my wife and I swapped plates so I could have some of her killer BLT. Awesome desserts. It's one of those menus that you want to work your way through over many visits. Our server was very attentive without being intrusive. I'll be back.
Wonderful ambiance and food.
Service and ambience met our expectations. The food and drinks were good, just not as inventive or exciting as we had hoped.
Inventive food; lovely, quirky decor; creative vegetables
Too few choices, high prices for amount of food, bland food. Loved Found prior to this visit.
I chose it because I thought it was gluten-free. it offered some options for gluten-free foodies. Would like to see more like subs for bread and pasta.
Though the food is quite tasty, once again another small plates restaurant with ridiculous small servings/high prices! Though your new menu is much better as well as the interior vibe I still can’t get over your pricing. $16 for the smallest piece of salmon!!!! Really even to share it was unimpressive! $1 per deviled egg..Our server was very disoriented & took forever to get drinks & food. Had a hard time getting his attention! Very erratic even though I get whole timing issue on small plates. Not sure if I’ll give u one more try!
Really laidback, enjoyable place to eat. Had brunch for first time. Delicious doughnuts. Quiche was light and fluffy. French toast with peaches were delightful. Would definitely come back.
What's odd is all the plates are meant to be shared, but dishes are plated as if they're for one person. The sandwich is split into two, when they could have sliced it for the three of us in our party. And servers still asked us if we needed side plates. Seems that should be a given.
We love Found and enjoyed our selections from the new menu. Would love to see Lamb Meatballs return to the menu!
