Continental | Dupont Circle, District of Columbia

The Riggsby is a top shelf restaurant in Washington DC! The food, service, staff, location, mixed drinks and menu selections are A+. They make the best Grey Goose martini to order in town. She had the oysters and trout wrapped in bacon. I had the lettuce wedge and risotto which was served with a pureed butter nut squash. The food was prepared to perfection and served at the correct temperature. Our waiter was attentive but not over-bearing. The wine list will suit even the most discreet taste and they have excellent wines by the glass or split. Service, superb and as we were leaving the doorman made it a point to flag us down a nearby cab. No our first visit and certainly will not be our last. More

Cafe Du Parc

French American | Downtown, District of Columbia

I have been to the Cafe several times and it has always been delightful. November 12th was an unusual evening for the Willard Hotel. The Turkish president was a guest and security was incredibly tight. We were four of the few diners that night and we were amazed that we were even allowed into the building. Very odd to be in such a quiet space with so much happening outside the window. A side note: the air vent was directly over the heads of my friends on the bench seats under the window. They had to wear their coats during our meal. We were told that the engineering department had been called, but nothing ever happened to warm it up! They did bring us a dessert gratis in apology! It was delicious! More

This was my fifth time earing at Espita, and my boyfriend were easily able to remember each of the four times before: where we sat, who we were with, and what we ate. We love this place. ALWAYS order the ceviche. Every time we've been, they've had a different take on mole on the menu, and it's always delish. And the tacos are always great. I'm writing this review after drinking two flights of mezcal (Mezcal Mondays are the new Taco Tuesdays), but I promise the sentiments are true. More

Mexican | Penn Quarter, District of Columbia

We visited Poca Madre for the second time and we were celebrating my husbands’ birthday. Kevin, our server, was knowledgeable about the menu and happy to describe various dishes. We were really excited to try their seasonal roasted squash dish, and the roasted broccoli with queso (strongly believe broccoli should always be served with creamy cheese). We enjoyed the pato al pastor and it’s easily the best dish in DC. The duck is cooked perfectly and the corn tortillas are delightful. I did happen to order a drink I didn’t love (it was too much spice on top of other spicy foods) but their regular mezcal margarita made it easy to wash down everything else. Would love to come back and focus just on their mezcals, their list was extensive. More

Discover District of Columbia

The District of Columbia is a place where eating out can be an adventure. Caribbean, Italian, and Pakistani cuisine can be found in the area. You can also dine on classic American fare, seafood, and barbecue. Try the Jamaican spice-rubbed pork tenderloin or the steak churrasco for a taste of the Caribbean. If you plan to eat Italian cuisine, sample the gamberi, cannelloni, or the pollo parmigiano. The District of Columbia’s Pakistani fare is traditional with dishes like Punjabi boti chicken tikka, goat dum biryani, or the butter chicken. For breakfast, you might like steel cut oats, organic cottage cheese and fresh fruit, or French toast and beef hash. This is a destination where the food is almost as good as the sights.
