                                                                                                                        Visited for a family celebration for my husband’s birthday for Sunday lunch. The sharing roast is superb and good value for the quality. We all loved it especially the bottomless Yorkshire puddings which were delicious along with the red wine gravy. We enjoyed some lovely Primitivo wine which was one of the lower priced options and it was great. Lovely service topped it all off.

But the welcome and the more than one hour wait for hour booked table is not acceptable. We were made to wait in the bar. The staff in the bar took orderes from guests arriving after us and it was probably at least 25 before we got a drink. Guests haveing booking later than us got table before us. No one came to our bar table to say anyting about the long wait, no excuses no explaining. We had to make contact with the staff and they didnt seem very concerned. The head waiter was no where to be seen (obviously). But the food is really good and the service at the table is good. But waiting 1 hour and ten minutes for our table is just not acceptable.

                                                                                                                        Not as good as it used to be, items removed from menu that were the best, the waiting staff are not as attentive as they used to be seemed like they are just uni students rather than trained quality waiting staff. Items ordered and forgotten about, meat over cooked, ordered M/R parts came WD. Not good for the amount of money it costs. Offered a free latte!! Im gauchos biggest fan but this was a disappointment! 🙁

                                                                                                                        The food tasted absolutely fantastic however, i will be honest it could have been warmer, the steak rested to long before being sent out and i imagine that the rest of the food was the same. Other than that the service was great, setting was cool, value was decent. Just a shame about the temperature of the food.
