food was ok. service was very good. good menu selection. Nice size bar area also with TV monitors for sports
What the heck happened to HUB 51? We have had great experiences in the past but not this last time. Service was terrible. There seemed to be one server on the floor so I do not blame him at all. I think I would look at the well-dressed manager who was not paying attention. The food was quite good but not enough so to entice us to return.
Don’t quite get why people love this place ? :). Don’t care for it much .... 🤷🏽♂️
As always great restaurant, great food....
A River North staple. Never disappoints. Indoor/outdoor seating is great.
The service was very slow and uncalled for as the restaurant was not busu. Also ford came out incorrectly while the incorrect meal was comped it was an unpleasant experience and I will not go back there for brunch
We came for Sunday brunch, great atmosphere, amazing food, and excellent service. Had the Avocado Toast with poached eggs, it was wonderful! Will definitely be coming back!
Fair priced, but food did not seem as good as past times that I've gone! Steak tacos were disappointing. Bang bang cauliflower is a must. Great deals for pitchers of drinks. Our server (whose name I didn't catch unfortunately) was excellent!
Hub 51 is a lot of fun, in a great location and has a buzz on the weekend. Food is very diverse but excellent overall. Definitely a good place to go with friends and have a good time.
This is my favorite place in Chicago— the menu is exceptionally good and varied. The noise level is just right for talking; the light level is perfect and the wait staff is great.
Excellent service, great atmosphere. Cauliflower was excellent, other food was ok
Server was exceptionally knowledgeable and helpful. Ambiance is always great and food is delicious.
Had the fish tacos. Not what I consider great. Not Baja style for sure. Slaw was super sweet and not authentic. Watermelon margarita was also just so-so. Service was very good.
Hub51 did an awesome job with brunch on Labor Day. They were packed with families, LOTS of little ones, and groups of friends.
Overall, nice restaurant, not enough options on the menu but good service....
Went for brunch and everyone was very happy with their delicious meals!! There was something for everyone. The prices were reasonable too. I noted Kid-friendly because they had high chairs and made it work with smiles, but it’s not really catered to kids (which was fine!). Ambiance wise I felt the restaurant is probably primarily an after work destination, but they really did master the brunch menu!! Would certainly recommend to anyone looking for a brunch spot in the area.
Friend visiting from out of town
I have been there 6x last 2 years. Great place to eat and have drinks great service
Recommend the Brussels Sprout salad it was fantastic!
Our server was a Latino gentleman with a small build. He was amazing. He knew everything about the menu and was at our table only when we needed him. He told us everything about what we were thinking of ordering. The food was amazing, the specials were great. And the drinks from the menu were outstanding. They were playing 90s music when we visited and it added a sense of fun. Even the water was great. It was a night to remember thanks to HUB 51.
Great birthday celebration. Service was excellent and everyone enjoyed their meal choices. Loved the variety of the menu!
Great experience as always, so happy to come back and bring friends. Fish tacos and onion rings were great and the carrot cake was delicious as always.
Overall a great experience. Our service and food was great! Very eclectic menu too!
Love this place. Came back especially for the "Bang Bang Cauliflower." So good I can hardly describe!
Amazing good, drinks and service. Our server, Madison was awesome, so attentitive and kind. They were busy (it was a Friday night) but service was great, food and drinks came out quicker than I expected for how busy they were. The noise level was pretty high but my husband and I still had a great time.
Waited long time for food....French fries were not hot and same when they brought out replacements....server was nice and gave us a free dessert because we waited so long. Some of our group liked the appetizers...but too many other restaurants to choose from to bother going back after mediocre...not horrible...experience.
The food and service never disappoint! The fish tacos are the best in the Midwest! Great selection for Gluten Free as well!
This place was great! We were visiting from out of town and found this on OpenTable so we tried it out. The chicken nachos were soooo good and then we had a fantastic carrot cake for dessert. Our entrees were good too but I was full from the nachos. Our server gave the perfect amount of attention - excellent service. I would definitely recommend this to others!
The food was delicious, as always! we were seated 20 minutes past the reservation time but the manager was super sweet and took care of the appetizers! Once we were seated the service was great! Always love coming here for a great meal!
Our waitress was MIA the entire meal. She did not check on us, we needed things several times over the course of the meal as we had 4 kids with us. We had to ask several other staff members for things. They only had 1 high chair so that was not accommodating. The food was ok. The waitress was not very friendly or helpful at all. I like hub51 a lot and she made the experience very difficult that night. The food was also not brought out together, and when it finally did come it was cold. This was a nightmare especially for $175
This place has become chaotic. It is packed as tight as possible with tables and the noise level is intense. I have been to this restraunt at least a dozen times but not for probably a year or so. It seems to have been made to be more congested since the last time I was there. The food quality has also declined. In short, it has lost (at least on this last visit) the allure of a cool space with a unique menu and quality food that was a good draw and now seems like a mess that only has a good location. After a long time with the same formula, it’s time this place regroup. With its excellent location and huge crowds, it’s unlikely there is that incentive though...yet.
Great options for every palate; had a vegetarian and she had plenty of options as well. Everything I had was delicious-the brussels sprouts salad and the tuna poke was great; others had the fish tacos and the cauliflower "mac and cheese." They accommodated our seating request, and service was good/attentive.
Have cold water ya idiots. It was tepid and gross and I felt to scared to ask for ice.
I asked the waitress about getting rib tips on the nachos. She made the effort & had the kitchen add the rib tips!
One of my favorites! The ahi tuna poke was amazing and the shishito peppers were some of the best I’ve ever had!
I love Hub 51! Each time I've dined there it's been a good experience. The nachos are BOMB!!
We had a great meal. The only thing we didn’t like was the noise level. We had come with a large group for dinner and we could f talk to each other.
Food and service were very good.
Went here for a birthday celebration with my friends and had an amazing time! Food was great, our waitress was wonderful, and the manager sent a dessert to our table! Couldn’t have asked for a better night
Food was great. I had the sushi which was half price, and my wife had the squash tacos. Days later, she is still raving about them!
