Il Mulino New York - Downtown
There’s no place like Il Mulino New York. The luxury Italian restaurant’s flagship Greenwich Village outpost initiated New York’s fine Italian dining trend and is still prized in the city’s elite dining scene. Zagat has rated Il Mulino New York as Manhattan’s No. 1 Italian restaurant for decades and has said the restaurant provides "one-of-a-kind" cuisine filled with delicious flavors, creating an "outstanding Italian classic" restaurant where "every dish is a masterpiece."
Absolutely amazing dinner, service. The waiters make you feel like your at home!
Excellent service food was very good but main attraction ambiance and service
Amazing experience as usual!
This was the best restaurant I have ever been to. Service and food were outstanding.
Another great experience. Relatively small dining area but feels cozy not cramped. The cheese, zucchini and garlic bread they serve within minutes of sitting were delicious. It went up from there. Worth a visit!
One of the top restaurants in NYC.
This was recommended by a friend how insisted we would regret it if we did bot go. He was right. Such great service combined with fantastic dishes, This please is a must for anyone going to New York. It will be an annual stop for us now.
Love this place!!! Makes a wonderful meals feel special even if it is every day!
Love love it!
Best Italian food ever!!!!
Oh My Gosh! From the start where you are given thinly sliced grilled zucchini pieces, to the end with the after dinner drink, II Mulino impresses. The garlic bread, cheese, 5 other options of bread all before your apps come blew us away. The service was impeccable. Gotta check this place out. We will be coming back every time we go to NYC
Fabulous food, hospitality and ambiance! A wonderful evening!
Amazing as always! Wonderful service and delicious food!
Thank you to the whole team at Il Mulino for the wo derful experience. Food was absolutely fantastic. Authen5ic Italian vibe and cuisine
Waiter should have informed us price os rack of lamb and not be chocked,!,,
Best restaurant in New York City. Bar none. Every single thing they prepare is the most outstanding version of that dish possible. LOOK OUT FOR THE SPECIALS. Get the black truffle ravioli, the rack of lamb is unbelievable, and the dessert of the poached pear soaked in white wine and topped with zabaglione will knock you out. Wine list could be improved a bit, but not enough of a flaw to take away from the delicious food. Wonderful, wonderful place.
All went well till I figured they charge me a different dish I ordered and cost $90 instead of the $45 I thought ... they said I ordered something different ... but i thought client is always right ! Did not happen this time
Wonderful restaurant t, wonderful time. Food is outstanding.
As per the last 10000 million times, fantastic. Never a single complaint !
Was very disappointed with the overall experience. The ambiance felt unrefined and claustrophobic with waiters buzzing around and serving very casually and rushed. The food was mediocre at best and very expensive. We had to send back the porcini ravioli special (which came out suspiciously quickly) as it was drowned in a sauce that was too creamy and sticky and tasted like out of a can. The meatballs were average. The veal chops and the rack of lamb specials were ludicrously expensive ($72 and $90, respectively!!) and were not very good. The veal chop was the biggest disappointment of all. While it was appropriately cooked (medium rare) you could not taste the veal at all since it was covered in garlic, garlic crusted, garlic oil, garlic everything! All you could taste is garlic which stayed with me until the very next day. The lamb was over cooked and covered in a sauce which was too sour and overpowering. The best part of the meal was the wine - a brunello for $170. For this price tag do yourself a favor and go to Le Bernardin....not this atrocious restaurant.
Amazing meal food recommendations wine, ask for Rudy and share a grappa with Andrea. The most amazing buffalo mozzarella app and delicious pasta with white truffle and veal piccata to die for! Service impeccable. Overall A+ and we have eaten a lot of Italian food.
Great whenever with whoever for whatever occasion
Il Mulino never disappoints. After dining there for over 20 years you appreciate the culinary experience. Every bite is perfect and you don’t want the meal to end. The Ricotta Cheesecake is to die for!
The dinner exceeding expectation...top notch service and the food was memorable. I highly recommend the veal milanese and the spaghetti carbonara. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing as always. Best place in the city!
Great, we should have selected meals effectively if pricing was announced upfront in reciting specials
We had a fabulous time and Rudy was terrific! The food was great and I would have given it a five except the soup was too salty. This is definitely on my list when returning to NYC.
Impeccable service from start to finish. Was initially surprised to see a lot of traditional Italian dishes on the menu, but pleased to discover that they were exquisitely prepared. Would highly recommend this establishment for a wide range of occasions.
Been going for 30 years. Never gets tired, never disappoints. Food is simply amazing and always surprised and pleased by specials. Service is impeccable yet friendly and so accommodating. Is it expensive yes, but they make you feel special and worth it.
Best classic Italian dinner New York has to offer!
OMG! Biagio is amazing! He makes every guest feel special. He is Il Mulino. I’ve been to Il Mulino Prime but they don’t have a Biagio. It was my Father’s birthday and Biagio went above and beyond for him. In the dark! The lights went out in the dining area temporarily but Biagio did not break a sweat. I look forward to visiting Il Mulino again just for the food and Biagio’s timeless service alone. Worth it! The Branzino was amazing by the way!
Wow! What an incredible meal. Our waiter was so nice and friendly and helped us with the menu. The chef sends out delicious zucchini, salami, chunks of parmesan, among other things. Amazing! We definitely will go back the next time we are in NYC!
Outstanding food and service.a bit pricey but well worth it.would go back .
The food is really good in the menu is varied. They start you out with a lot of little plates of food that are delicious. I had the Oso Buco which was very tender and tasty. We are Asian but not from Asia. We don’t speak another language. When we entered and departed, they spoke Japanese to us. I guess they were trying to make us feel comfortable but it was a little weird. Service was really good.
Great place, special ambience.
Best Italian in town?
The restaurant is authentic southern Italian. The service is impeccable. Food is delicious.
I have been going to this location of Il Mulino for years and it never disappoints. The service and food are worth the drive from Queens, and worth the money. Just wonderful.
Wasn’t sure what to expect but it was amazing. Every dish was as good as the next
Love this place
Great Italian restaurant!!
All facets are perfect !!
