The ambiance was great, the service was good , the food was marginal at best. Pizza was very poor and most of the other dishes we order had very little flavor.

The patio was very nice with friendly staff. Once inside we found the server was very nice but they were out of wine and certain menu items. I know the season was coming to a close in couple of weeks but if you’re going to be open you should at least have the menu items. The veal dish was almost not edible, but again it didn’t seem anyone really cared.

We have been eating here for more than 10 years, and the food and service are always outstanding. It is honestly one of the reasons we keep coming back to Vail. We make a point to eat here every time we visit.

On this trip we tried several places, this is one that we might not return to. Nothing was wrong with it, it just didn't stand out. The food was just ok... The Cesare salad was not good, very watery, the pasta was solid, and the trout dish was just ok. Overall, the portion sizes were large, so plenty of food.

Our experience was amazing! The waiter was so knowledgeable about the wine, and recommended exactly what we wanted! He helped me with my order, as I wanted housemade pasta! Love the atmosphere, food and the staff! We will be back for sure!!!

We have been dining at La Bottega for many years. We will not return. There was hardly anyone else there, and one would think they would treat the customers who were there with appreciation. The server was not welcoming and acted like he was doing a favor by serving us. We were asked if we would like bottled water or “tap”water, not “ice water” or another description. The menu indicated what we consider “high” prices for “splitting” and “sharing.” Martinis were expensive and were served in small glasses. They were only 2/3 filled. They charged for refills on sodas. We did not see a notice about that. There was an $8 charge for tasteless bread. The entrees were tasty and plentiful, so that was a plus, although we were told the duck we ordered would be crispy on the outside and it was not. They also added a “kitchen fee” of 3% on the entire bill, in addition to the taxes. They wanted to charge $10 to split checks between 3 couples. We declined. They automatically added a 20% gratuity to the total bill. Then, when credit cards were provided, they asked for a gratuity and we had to choose “no tip.” Good thing we remembered to select that option since the tip had already been included.
