La Bottega - Vail
Had wonderful meal. Osso Bucco was outstanding as were the pastas. Pricey but worth it.
I actually really like this trattoria style place. Sat too near pizza oven, very hot. My pasta was stuck together at the ends and was undercooked but sauce was delicious. Noisy but fun atmosphere if you are in the main rooms. Upstairs very different quiet vibe.
Delicious Italian with gluten free pasta option. Wood fired pizza, delicious bread, great wine list, bar level dining overlooking the kitchen. Downstairs has more ambiance than upstairs. Upstairs is more quiet. Have dined there three times over three years. Consistently great.
Fantastic meal, we ate here on a ski trip last year and wanted to again. Excellent choices, the server guided us toward the ideal choices for us. Couldn’t be better!
We have been to La Bottega many times in the past and we have always enjoyed a nice meal. Our experience this time was average at best. We were seated near the pizza oven at a table that had to be completely turned so we could actually sit down (there was a brick wall partially blocking my side of the table). We ordered a salad that was okay, the truffle gnocchi which was good and my husband ordered the beef tenderloin. The beef did not come as it was described on the menu and the dish itself was under-seasoned and the potatoes were so hard that they were inedible. We will not be going back anytime soon. :(
Muy rápido servicio , muy amable el personal , muy rica la comida
Excellent food, great ingredientes, we were a party of 10 and it was great for all of us.
If I only have time for one meal in Vail it’s La Bottega. I love the gnocchi in white truffle cream sauce. The tiramisu is the best I’ve ever had. The family loved their meals as well.
The gentleman greeting and seating was curt and rude. Service was all about turning tables with no personal connection. Food was cold , pizza was soggy. Wine prices were ridiculously expensive. No one cared.
We are at 7 different fine dining places in Vail on this trip... La Bottega has the absolute highest wine prices in Vail! Compare to any other restaurant and you will confirm. A true disappointment and typical approach to taking advantage of customers at peak season.
Nos hicieron esperar mucho tiempo
45 minutos para q nos den la mesa con la reservación
The food was ok. The owner super rude!! Would not recommend!!
Great spot for couples and families...pleasant ambiance, terrific food and very good service. All those in our party agreed that a great time was had by all. Will gladly return
Food is ok but the servers where really unfriendly, at the end they charged us 15% tip automatically (we where a party of 5) I guess they didn’t need to be kind since they knew their tip was included. Also very expensive for what you get.
We ate here for New Year’s Eve. Delicious Italian and seafood! It feels like you’re in a cozy house. 6 in our group, gluten free spaghetti, crab and shrimp fettuccini, sea bass and appetizers were all wonderful! We will definitely go back!
Great food..Great Service...perfect seats for fireworks on New Years Eve!
very busy place with reasonably good italian dishes ( and a seasonal truffle menu for which they deserve a plus). suboptimal service, probably due to being so busy (with waiters trying their best). some faux pas ( "we ran out of bread, sorry", " don't have the rabbit tonight forgot to mention when you guys ordered"). Food was good not great, overall decent experience if you are not bothered by the high noise level
Great dinner, nice pizza and salads, and great pasta too! Beautiful atmosphere. Excellent service!
La Bottega is one of our consistant favorites in Vail! We wouldn’t miss it.
The staff and the service are top notch
Don’t miss the meatballs. Take some home for apre ski the next day
Make a reservation and don’t miss it!!!
Very busy, noisy & crowded. Food was good. Service was adequate. Ladies room only had one stall available & there was a horrible smell too. Had to stand in a 10 min line to use the one smelly stall. Unacceptable!
Very welcoming atmosphere and top quality food. We had a reservation apres ski They handled our group of 9 on a Saturday night in Vail with zero service problems. The Gemelli with vodka cream sauce and sausage was my favorite. Strong wine list. Good desserts.
Agradable nada del otro mundo si quieres comer algo normal caro en una gran ubicación es el lugar al que hay que ir en Vail.
Love it every time
Wonderful dining experience but we were seated upstairs by a window and when the heat would come on it was extremely hot and uncomfortable.
Amazing view and good food except the gnocchi
This seems to be a very popular place in Vail. When a place is that successful sometimes they don't put much effort in service, this is the case. Our waiter was a young man who was lost. He did not served water, took drink order and took a long time to come take food order. We ordered Spinach and Ricotta Ravioli for my daughter and ask our waiter if they could change the marinara sauce for a Cream sauce (allergic to tomato), the answer was no because it was prepared in two different kitchens? Tomato in one cream in other? Ok he suggested just cheese no sauce. My son ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza he brought a 6". I ordered the mussels, well prepared. Had to ask twice for bread. Never offered soda refill. Had to ask twice for the check and to top all they charged 20% tip. My party was 4, why do they charge 20%? It is a shame that a place like that do not take care of supervising their service.
Great service, good food. Fun night
Great food for a great price!
Disappointing Italian restaurant in Vail village. While website displays house-made pasta, when asked, the server advised no pasta is fresh made. Pizza was awful - really worse than Sbarro at the mall or airport. Surprised they have a nice pizza oven in the kitchen but certainly didn't taste like it.
I hate when a server starts by apologizing for delayed service - whether it be bread, refilling water, etc. Service was a lot to be desired.
There's another Italian restaurant in the village (not advertising the name) with all fresh pasta and good service.
Will not be back and told our hotel concierge to not recommend.
I had a reservation for 3 and was put at a table for 2. An extra chair was pulled out and put on the side of the table. Every time a waiter/waitress walked by I had to move my body inward so I wouldn't brush up against him/her.
As for the food, I've had better dishes at the Olive Garden. This place was a huge mistake, but I had no idea... This restaurant doesn't belong in Vail, period!
La Bottega is always amazing. Staff, service, food was perfect!
The room we were in was freezing!!! I ordered the tarragon chicken salad. It was very good, but there wasn’t a side with it, half empty plate. No chips ,lettuce. Was very strange. No one be had anything beside the dish they ordered. Never been anywhere where they didn’t offer something !
Love La Botegga!!!!
Just really good Italian food. Ambience is also super nice. Good service and drinks.
Es mi lugar favorito
Not only the food is average but too many times the service by the Italian owners, who have always been arrogant and condescending, is truly bad. Clearly they do not care about their customers and are happy to insult you and discriminate by shouting at you. Good there are many other options
We come to Vail every year and always dine at La Bottega at least once during our visit. We have never been disappointed. Food, atmosphere and service - all top notch.
We have eaten at LaBottega / Vail for years. It is one of our favorite restaurants. The prices have steadily increased over the years. I now consider it an expensive restaurant for special occasions, rather than a "I don't feel like cooking tonight" option. Like lamb chops used to be about $30 and are now $54. The wines that used to be $40 are now $60. However, the menu is consistently excellent. The avocado and crab soup was unbelievably delicious and could be a meal in itself. I had salmon that was perfectly prepared.
We are looking forward to the opening of the sister restaurant (Spanish tapas) in spring 2019.
The mussels are the best, the rabbit a real treat. They have a fabulous Italian wine list.
Our server was so nice and attentive. The food was delicious! The gnocchi was so good and my husband thought the pizza was the best he’d ever eaten. What a charming and cozy restaurant! I highly recommend La Bottega!
