La Bottega has been a mainstay for both locals and tourists alike since 1997. Having started as a sandwich and deli operation, La Bottega has grown into one of the top destinations for dining in the Vail Valley. La Bottega offers authentic Italian cuisine with the Chef Stephen Virion having worked in Tuscany and the Veneto regions of Italy. His wife, Elisabetta, is from Asiago, Italy and has crafted the wine list to compliment the cuisine. La Bottega's Wine Bar is a great place for apres ski or to just have a glass of wine with friends from our award winning wine list. Of course our famous sandwiches and our stone oven pizzas are still a big draw. At La Bottega there is something for everyone so as to make your dining experience enjoyable.

I’ve eaten at La bottega previously on several occasions. It has always been better. One meal was steak ordered medium rare and it came out cooked better than medium. At 6 o’clock on a weeknight they were out of veal for veal Parmesan with a chicken substitute. The chicken Parmesan was average at best, dry, served lukewarm. This was restaurant week with reduced prices, however this was an opportunity for the restaurant to really shine and get more customers. The restaurant was not busy at this time. There was no reason for the food not to have been better. It’s unfortunate but the kitchen was definitely not bringing their a game.

I´ve been coming to Vail and this restaurant for years. The food is usually good, nothing great but please please avoid this restaurant. The bread for the Cheesesteak sandwich was a few days old. The meet was burnt and the truffle was without flavor. The wine is too expensive.
When asked to speak to the owner, he was drunk or high. He said he did not care.
After more than 20 years as a customer, I´m sad to say I will no longer dine at this restaurant.

We had eaten here a year before and the food was good. The restaurant has nice ambiance. This time I was disappointed. My pasta was overcooked and lacked flavor. Our server apologized but did not offer me any other option. At most restaurants, the manager or chef would have come by and made sure their customer was satisfied. There are so many great restaurants in the area, so we will not be back to La Bottega on our next visit to Vail.

Have rarely left negative reviews as I travel frequently, dine out frequently, and try to be understanding. Take this or leave this, but you will be disappointed with amateur food, disaffected service, and a tavern ambience. Very crowded space and very high price. Avoid.

We love coming to La Bottega! I cannot imagine coming to Vail without having a meal there and we have been to Vail already 4 times this year and will be there again in April. They do a fabulous job with their Pizzas, Pastas and Salads. We also like the Octopus appetizer. Always impressed with the wine list and the knowledge of the Staff. Conveniently located in the Vail Village. I have also ordered food to go many times from La Bottega. We will be back soon!

Worst dining experience ever! Made reservation weeks ahead of time to celebrate our 25 year wedding anniversary. From the moment we were seated at a terrible high top table in bar - very noisy and busy section until we left the service was terrible. We have been dining here for over 20 years and always enjoy this location when we visit Vail. It is just not the same and will not go back. We had such fabulous service and anniversary celebrations at several other restaurants in Vail. It’s too bad no one cared here.

Food was good and fairly priced. Wine list was overpriced even by Vail's standards. Waiter pushed us repeatedly toward $100 a bottle wine selection even though we were asking for his suggestions around $70. While his service was fine, he definitely left us with a poor impression over the wine list. Will probably skip La Bottega on our next visit.

La Bottega is always good. The only caveat is to sit downstairs. The upstairs room has zero ambiance and feels too confined. The restaurant could really turn the upstairs into an exclusive room with a little decor upgrades for better ambiance.

El hostess fue muy amable todo el tiempo. Nuestro mesero no lo fue. Casi no se acercaba a nuestra mesa y lo hacía como si estuviera molesto. Una vez que se lo comentamos al hostess la atención del mesero cambio para bien.

The food and atmosphere were very good and the prices were reasonable. We were seated right away for our 730 reservation. The waiter got a little too busy with other tables but fortunately the busboy was sharp and took care of us when necessary. I would recommend it.

The food was not as good as in previous years. We had a crab pasta (signature linguine) it had no flavor. The pizza was average. The waiters were very nice. The host was disrespectful and his behavior was not becoming of a host in a nice restaurant. The last time for us.

Definitely a little pricey for a bowl of pasta. Nothing to love, but certainly nothing to hate about the place either. Getting seated always seems to take awhile here. Would give it a solid "B" grade.

Gran lugar súper recomendable!!! Todo muy bien la comida es buenísima y el servicio tmb! Con open table las mesas son las de afuera (ni te dan buenos lugares) pero movimos ahí con el personal y nos dieron una buena mesa. Pero pa q chequen uds q ni les ofrecen buenos lugares.

Good food , good service , but mandatory tips for the service it’s unbearable, there is no choice! if you want or not to give a tip and also how much you want to gratify the service. It’s not our decision , Its mandatory by the restaurant! Thats the restaurant policy. How the restaurant will motivated the workers to do a good service if the client has no voice, if one waiter punch you , you need to pay the service ... I never seen this in USA

We booked last minute so the table was not the best. But from where we were we could watch chefs at work at the wood fired oven. The menu was comprehensive and included a few of my favourites. Some complimentary bread and Italian breadsticks were provided (unusual in the pricey resort of Vail). Hubbys lobster bisque was tasty and not too rich. I enjoyed my veal Milanese chop with spinach and potatoes although the portion was huge. But it was over $30 so needed to be! Hubby had gnocchi in a rage sauce and loved it. We shared a creme brûlée to finish and all the food was of a high standard. I can understand why this restaurant is popular most nights.
