La Masseria RI
We had great food, service was less than expected as I think they may have been short s server.
Good quality Italian food, excellent service, nice location
Amazing food! Packed on a Thursday night! A little loud but had a wonderful evening
Found this restaurant through OpenTable when we were exploring the area. Nice ambience and better than typical Italian food.
usually love it there. most recent experience was not so great. food was ehhhh, service was okay but not great. indicated a special occasion when booking on open table - no mention of it from the staff. all in all - very disappointing.
Ottimo 👏 !
Dinner with family
Wonderful service great food wine . ambiance splendid.celebrating anniversay was perfect.
We love dining in this restaurant, very clean food and they accommodate very easy your diet ! Very tasty food and always good service
It was great
We always enjoy great food and ambiance at LaMasseria!
Good service, good menu and good food. Always friendly, welcoming and low key. Good music too. We drive from Boston every once and a while and it is always worth it.
Made a last-minute reservation here and arrived at the appointed hour. Then waited 20 minutes to be seated. Greeter carefully avoided eye contact during the wait. It appears they squeezed in an extra table outdoors, right by the door, to accommodate us. Service from our server was good, attentive, friendly and knowledgeable. She told us about the appetizer special being clams casino. We started with that. Clams were obviously local and fresh, and this was the highlight of the meal. Entrees were salmon and veal cutlet with mushrooms. The proteins were OK, nothing special. Vegetables were good. Polenta was particularly tasteless.
Awesome! Prompt friendly service and delicious food
Absolutely delicious Italian cuisine...from the appetizers to the salad and entree - fresh, perfectly executed dishes. This was our first visit and we were very pleasantly surprised at how outstanding everything was! Only negative would be the wait time for our table when we had a reservation. Otherwise, food and service five stars!!
Loved the ambiance of old Italy. The waiter was courteous and attentive throughout the entire meal..
La Masseria was a great choice ... warm night and we ate outside ...service was fabulous and the food terrific ... will be back again
First time dining at La Masseria. For appetizers we shared clams casino and fritto misto. Delicious! My guy have the veal chop. Large portion and very tender. I had the sole francaise which was wonderful. All the food was very flavorful and cooked perfectly! We will definitely be back!
Service and food were great
Amazing per usual. We love this local restaurant. Everything is always beautiful and perfect.
Ordered 2 special and two on the menu items
Special-$26 for a linguini in clam sauce. Yummy homemade pasta but a tiny amount ( maybe a cup) served with 12 clams no bigger than a half of a dime? Yikes!
Special- 2 small pieces of veal with fontina and truffle $36?
Menu- rabbit was delicious and so was the eggplant with smoked mozzarella over pasta
Stick with the menu for best value and portion.
Taking mom out to dinner
Our service from Eric for 8 of us was impeccable. It was a dreadfully hot night and the air conditioning was malfunctioning, apparently for sometime.
We felt there should have been either a heads up about this situation or some accommodation on the bill.
The food was exceptional and as I mentioned, the service was terrific.
What a wonderful restaurant to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy an authentic Italian Sunday dinner with family and friends. Inventive cuisine, fresh, and abundant portions. Warm service. Convivial atmosphere. Only caveat would be some menu items were a bit steep in price. Overall worth it.
Consistently expert service and cuisine. I have never had a bad meal here. I
It is great to have an authentic Italian restaurant in East Greenwich. However, my table for 3 was very small and the room was very noisy. I would like to see some variance on the menu especially because we go there often.
I am vegetarian and would like to see more meals in this category.
I frequent La Masseria and Saturday evening was not only the worst service I've experienced there - it was the poorest restaurant service I've had anywhere in over a year. Our server was inattentive and borderline rude. It was quite busy and typically is on a Saturday. He was delayed in coming to our table which was fine, but when he did arrive, he didn't ask us if we wanted cocktails he just jumped to telling us the specials. Then said, "Oh, do you want a drink too." We eventually ordered, got our drinks, and then we didn't see him again until after dinner (I'm not joking.) I was trying to order a glass of wine before the food came out and eventually had to flag him over and ordered it. Our food came out, and no wine. Our server never came by to ask how the meal was, so I had to go find him because I was nearly 75% done w/ my meal and still no wine. Finally, no one had come to replenish our empty water glasses and so we had to ask the man clearing our plates who was pleasant and said he'd get someone. Our waiter then reappeared and started to ask about dessert - when someone came over to fill our clearly EMPTY water glasses and was about to pour when our waiter said "No. Go over to that table." We were all stunned and protested that we wanted water, and his reply was "He'll be right back." I explained we had asked for the water because they had been empty for some time. I told him then it was the worst service we had ever had there. I brought friends from CT and frankly was quite embarrassed. I will only sit at the bar with Jimmy going forward.
Eric our waiter was the best. Thanks for a great experience!
Excellent quality food with great service. They have good special offerings too.
Love this place. Consistently fantastic food! Generous portions.
Everything and everyone is perfect! Food is exceptional, service is amazing, and the ambiance is awesome! I’d highly recommend to everyone. In fact, it’s the only restaurant that all of my family can agree on!
My guests had the lobster and pasta dish. They both said the flavor was good but the lobster meat was chewy which usually is because it was frozen. I had the veal and mushrooms which was very good.
The gnocchis with cheese sauce was pretty good, but not an exciting plate.
Great ambiance, great interior but noticed the floor upstairs was sticky.
Had the ricotta cheesecake. I appreciated the fact that the desserts appear to be made on site.
I had a martini and it was the best one I ever had. Extremely smooth.
Our waitress was very personable and professional and knowledgeable of the menu and ingredients.
Overall it was pretty good but honestly not worth the price. However I will try it again as this was my first visit.
This is one of the best authentic Italian restaurants I have been too and frequent often. The service and cuisine is pristine. I can’t say anything negative about the service or food! Their specials are always inventive and enticing.
Buono !!! Osé bravissimo e sa trattare le persone
Nice evening out! Food is delicious, staff is friendly & knowledgeable, atmosphere is relaxing. Our favorite Italian restaurant. We've had dinner @their NYC location as well! Would recommend both places!
Tim was awesome! Attentive service, without being “too much.” Food was amazing.
Overall it was Fantastic. The atmosphere is a little on the hectic side. The f oof was amazing
Our request to be seated upstairs was honored. The appetizer of pistachios, avocado and shaved parmesan cheese was exceptional! I will definately order it again if available! My husband raved about his Veal Chop! My Veal with mushrooms was slightly over done, but not enough to return it. Service was excellent. A lovely evening.
Great food, excellent service, great spot with real character. Will recommend and be back!
The food was not as advertised. The aged prime rib steak was nothing of the sort. In fact it was just a choice cut. Very disappointing! My dinner guests were appalled by the arrogance of the staff with the exception of the waiter who was very polite and attentive. Not worth the time or money.
