- CCaseyWashington, D.C. Area •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoWe hadn’t been to Hamiltons in years, but when good friends from California visited we took the opportunity. Everything, especially the food, was as good as we remembered. The shrimp and grits were especially noted.More infoHamiltons' At First & Main$$$$• Contemporary American• Charlottesville•4.7
- MMatthewCleveland / Akron / Canton •1 review5.0Dined 2 days agoOur service was incredible. The food amazing. The drinks delicious. I'm from out of town and this was the perfect romantic date night and really left a lasting impression. I've had a lot of subpar experiences this trip and Ten was the best experience I've had in this city BY FAR and in the past few months. Cannot recommend Ten enough. Want a night to remember? Go to Ten.More infoTen$$$$• Japanese• Charlottesville•4.8

- JJames JacksonCoastal North Carolina •1 review5.0Dined 6 days agoWe've heard of C&O for years, in the same hushed tones reserved for family secrets and arcane initiations. It's a must, a Charlottesville icon. It's dark and glorious and defies definition or explanation. Go, you Charlottesvillian. Don't ask or argue. Just go. Having been for our first time, I can safely say: we get it now. My fiancee and I had reservations Halloween night. We were ushered past gas lamps and a thick door into a dreamscape of candles, oak paneling, and thoughtful, talented staff (all in coordinated ghostly wedding apparel). We were given a corner table in a downstairs bar teeming with delicious smells and happy regulars. This place is clearly redolent in happy memories and good history. We split house bread, superb cocktails in last-century coupe glasses, steak chinois and duck confit gnocchi that was delicious beyond worss. C&O felt transportive, something special, magical, and meaningful, like a church or hidden garden. The place it holds in the hearts of Charlottesville makes complete sense now. I cannot recommend C&O more highly.More infoC&O$$$$• American• Charlottesville•4.9
- VVivianVirginia •1 review5.0Dined on Oct 26, 2026We recently celebrated our anniversary at Cafe Frank, Thank you for such an exceptional experience. From the first sip of your crafted cocktails, we were completely won over. The chef's creations were outstanding. The mushroom dish was genius—crispy and full of flavour without any excess moisture. For the mains, the seared scallops paired with the crispy potatoes were a clever twist on fish and chips that far exceeded our expectations. The chef truly deserves 5* + Special thanks to Dylan for his exceptional service. When the wine I originally ordered was unavailable, he recommended a replacement that paired even better with our meal. We also loved the intimate seating layout. Being able to chat with neighboring tables and share recommendations made the night so memorable. For us, dining out is all about community and shared experiences, and we left feeling like we were part of the family. Thank you again for a wonderful evening. We look forward to returning soon.More infoCafe Frank$$$$• Contemporary French / American• Charlottesville•4.8
