The Red Maple was originally owned and operated by the Trauth Family, a German-American family of restaurateurs spanning 100 years in Gretna.     The service was exceptional! We had the best grilled oysters, better than any we've had previously in New Orleans. The steaks were also excellent, well-seasoned and cook to the doneness we requested. You can't go wrong with Legacy.

    I got the price fix menu and it was fabulous. Oysters, lobster, reddish and duck. All fantastic. My wife got the pork medallion with Cesar salad with smoked Oysters dressing also fantastic. The banana foster is a must and quite the show flamed at the table!

    The burgers are out of this world. I had the brunch burger and the flavors and how they were all distinct yet blended together to make one of THE most satisfying meals I've had the pleasure to eat. The garlic aioli with the fries are the ultimate dip. The service was great, special shout out to the hostess, doing double duty as the busser. She worked harder than anyone in the room and then some.
