    We’re visiting Newport for my birthday and several of my friends recommended that we dine at 22Bowens. We loved the food so much we went for dinner and lunch the following day. The wonderful food, service and ambiance was excellent and I highly recommend this restaurant when you visit Newport - 5 stars!

    We had not been to The Mooring in some time and wanted to see what had changed since our last visit. When I made the reservation, I informed the restaurant that the dinner was a special occasion- our 36th wedding anniversary. The host greeted us warmly and we were shown to our table. Our table was one of the best in the building right on the water looking out at Newport Harbor. On the table was a card signed by several members of the staff. The menu is varied and everyone should be able to find something on it to satisfy their tastes. Our server was very friendly and attentive. The food was excellent. The restaurant has a decent wine list that covers many varietals and all price points. This was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and it will not be long before we return.

    Great find in Newport. Great good with proper value. Everything looked good. The salad, chicken piccata and whole fish followed by pistachio cake were up there as best we have had in New England. Lively atmosphere. Impressive long kitchen and bar because it is a narrow store front with a deep interior but designers made the best of it. Could use a few basic Italian menu items like pasta with simple red sauce but they would be reaching perfection which is hard to find in what is really a town filled with lots of tourists.

    This restaurant did not disappoint. We were greeted warmly as soon as we walked in. The hostess made sure we picked a table that we wanted. Both our meals were amazing. I got soup and the temperature was perfect not too hot not too cool. I also had fish tacos, so good not over spiced at all. My husband had Octopus which was perfectly prepared. We will be going back!
