Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and immigrated to Boston when he was 5-years-old. He stayed in the Boston area for college and attended Tufts University. Marybeth, born and raised in Sioux Falls, SD, moved to Boston to be a nanny and went to Somerville School of Nursing. The two met in Medford, MA, dated and became engaged in Oak Bluffs on Martha’s Vineyard in 1996. Relocating to Sioux Falls, SD in 1999, Riccardo and Marybeth have developed a reputation for making people feel welcome with their three boys, Dante, Berent, and Jaxon. Riccardo was born in Florence, Italy and grew up in Boston, MA. Marybeth, a Sioux Falls native, ventured to the east coast as a nanny and then nursing school in Somerville, MA. The two met, fell in love, and became engaged on Martha’s Vineyard island. Moving back to Sioux Falls in 1999 and working at several area restaurants, they opened R Wine Bar in 2018.     We love Minerva’s and have always loved it. The food is always good and the service is usually outstanding. Last night however they were clearly short-staffed with not enough servers. It was busy and kept getting busier. Our server did a great job but was very very busy and had way too many tables to wait on. I hope they will hire more staff as this is one of our favorite places! And the salad bar was wonderful!! The entrees we had were good as well. Need more wines from France or Italy by the glass - 2 of us can’t drink an entire bottle!

    Greeted and sat down upon our arrival/reservation time. Drinks were brought quickly. Our server answered several menu questions we had. When we asked her opinions she gave us her favorite menu items. We shared a Caesar salad, it was delicious. Our warm mini sourdough loaf was also delicious. Our steaks were wonderful and cooked to perfect temperature. If we had any suggestions, we like more of a crust or hard sear on the exterior of our steaks. Au Poivre sauce was absolutely delicious 😋. Wonderful restaurant, we will definitely be back.
