- AAnneVIPNew York City •66 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoHad a wonderful dinner at Sunet Grille last night. First sat at the bar and each had a martini. Very good. It’s also happy hour from 5-7 with great drink and food speacials but we were going to a table so we didn’t partake, but a lot of people seemed to be enjoying it. We didn’t have a reservation, so I went to the very sweet woman greeting people. She said there were no tables, so I went back to the bar and went on my phone. There was a table available at that exact moment so I booked it on my phone and we went back to her and got the table!? Not sure what the issue was but ok. Our server was Pearline. She was wonderful! Immediately came to our table to offer drinks or wine. We had a nice Cabernet and a Rose. We shared a delicious beet and goat cheese salad, the skirt steak, and the Chilean Sea Bass. All delicious!! We also wanted bread, and Pearline was nice enough to say it was a dollar a person, which we were happy to pay. The night before we went to another restaurant and asked for bread and they said sure, but it was 11 dollars! We were too full for dessert, but will try next time. Gorgeous view, great food and service. We’ll be back!More infoSunset GrillePrice: Moderate• Steakhouse• St Thomas•4.7
- SSueNew York City •2 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoThis was our first visit to AMA and it did not disappoint. The setting is amazing and our table was perfect! Since we arrived early we had a drink at the bar and the bar tender was friendly and even offered dinner suggestions. Service was good, though not exceptional. The setting is amazing right on the coastline with waves crashing over rocks right below. Caesar salad was excellent and we split it. Our entrees were good with the tuna just perfect and so delicious. We ordered chocolate mousse for dessert and were surprised when it was served as it was white. We asked the waiter if it was indeed chocolate mouse and he said it was white chocolate. Since we’re not fans of white chocolate think he should have mentioned that as we ordered. It was okay but not what we would have liked. We’ll definitely return. Reservations are difficult to get for the grotto area so reserve ahead of time.More infoAma at Cane BayPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• St. Croix•4.7
- KKelseyNew York City •5 reviews5.0Dined on Feb 3, 2025A spectacular night with a wonderful dinner. We had 7pm reservations and went around 5:30 to have a cocktail and watch the sunset. It was a slow paced night that was one of the best meals we’ve had!More infoZozo’s at Caneel BayPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• St. John•4.8
- BBenjaminCaribbean •3 reviews5.0Dined on Jan 25, 2025I’m giving a five star review because I knew what to expect. Food was excellent, both times we dined with Saman. It’s a little pricey compared to your standard steakhouse or seafood restaurant, but you’re on an island and procurement is difficult. No problem. Wait times both times we were there were very reasonable. 30-40 minutes for the main course, drinks and bread for the table were immediate though. If you go here, you need to have time to just relax, be on island time, and enjoy yourself. If you want bar food quickly, walk 20 steps to the Flamboyant restaurant and eat there. We ate almost every item on the menu, all was prepared very well. The pasta with vodka sauce was amazing and just what we needed after a week of eating out. The cut of filet wasn’t quite up to the highest standards out there, but at $50 on an island with no local beef, it certainly isn’t claiming to be the best of the best cuts. Of the four filets we ordered, cooked between rare and medium, all were cooked exactly how they should be with good sear and minimal grey layer. The wahoo was prepared and plated very well, and I have zero safety or cleanliness concerns about eating fish here. The waitstaff is very attentive, not over-committed to too many tables, and they’re very helpful sharing suggestions of local places to visit outside the resort.More infoSaman at Carambola Beach ResortPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• St. Croix•2.9
