- NNicolePhilippines •1 review5.0Dined on Sep 20, 2024I loved how the Ribeye Angus Steak was tender, flavorful, and not too greasy. Even better, black pepper and brown gravies came with the dish and helped elevate the taste of the steak and counterbalanced the grease from the fatty parts. However, the Gnocchi Quattro Formaggi might just be our favorite, savory Il Primo dish so far, as it had a very rich but not overwhelming flavor. The gnocchi was also uniquely made of ube instead of potatoes or semolina, which was something I was slightly worried about while ordering to be honest. Thankfully, you could barely taste the ube, or, rather, it just blended well with the taste of the four-cheese sauce. This creative fusion is definitely a must-try! The Calzone was also made and cooked with fresh ingredients! The crust itself was already delectable but even more so with the filling. Last but seriously not the least (for food), their Tiramisu was one of the best, if not the best, I've ever tried so far. I loved how strong and rich the taste of the espresso was, yet it still quite harmonized with the mascarpone cheese. Every bite was [slightly] worth the price (paying 500php for a single Tiramisu slice is a luxury). Overall, my family and I certainly enjoyed our dining experience at Il Primo last Friday night, mainly because, aside from the high-quality food, we were accommodated very well by Miss Maileen (apologies if I spelled it wrong; the receptionist was also a darling, but I didn't catch her name, so sorry about that). The chef(s) was(were) also very accommodating as they agreed to recook some of the steak to well done (majority of us at the table opted for medium well, but my mom couldn't eat raw/semi-raw food). The menu items are indeed expensive though. Not recommended for those who are on a budget or earning just enough (such as myself). But for a very special occasion or a once-in-a-blue-moon type of experience, Il Primo deserves a spot on your list.More infoIL PrimoPrice: Very Expensive• Italian• Cebu City•4.3
- RRyansonPhilippines •1 review4.0Dined on Aug 26, 2024Excellent food and service. We got the peking duck and the stir fried wagyu as well as some choice dumplings - xiao long bao (soup dumpling) and the one with iberico pork. Very good. Not as sold on the iberico char siu and I think this can be passed. The only thing was they do not conforme to their so called strict smart casual rule - I saw diners wearing crocs flip flops, t-shirt and shorts. So much for dressing up when anyone can wear anything anyways.More infoMOTT32 CebuPrice: Very Expensive• Chinese• Cebu City•4.6
