    We were shown to a nice table with plenty of room. We ate from the ordinary menu. Everything we had was really lovely. Staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. We were asked if it was a special occasion, I said it was my birthday. They brought me a large ish profiterole with a lit candle which was a nice touch to our experience. We would definitely return. We'll done Liverpool Ivy.

    Fantastic food. The Ragú Rigatoni was stunning. As were the Arancini and the Banoffee pie sublime. Wonderful service. Great location. Cannot be bettered for a pre theatre meal in that area

    We're no strangers to Hawksmoor Liverpool (or other branches, to be fair), and because there isn't one where we live (Nottingham), I've not been able to try their famous burger at lunchtime. So, with an hour before our train home, we grabbed a table and had the lunchtime offer (£18, main with a side). It was truly excellent, and despite it being early on a Monday, the staff were great, the food was excellent, and we were back out in plenty of time. Bearing in mind the price of some of the "premium fast food" efforts, there really is no comparison - a Hawksmoor Royale, with beef dripping french fries? Or some foil-wrapped sweat-burger from a paper bag of mixed temperature chips? Only one choice, and don't miss this one like I did with the Big Matt. Still gutted that went before I got one.
