Always wanted to eat at a Gordon Ramsay restaurant and it did not dissapoint, exceptional staff, exceptional food

This is always a great buffet, and the food is phenomenal - great value for your money. It’s definitely food court style though so not particularly fancy if that’s what you’re looking for, but the quality of the food is great, especially for wanting a large gathering. There are always tables.

You can’t go wrong. The waitstaff were friendly, the menu was very good, the specials were imaginative, beautifully presented and delicious. Definitely worth trying.

An amazing lunch omakase experience, delicious and flavourful! Tadokoro was wonderful in preparing the food and explaining each dish, and answering our questions about what “traditional preparation” or other terms meant as well. The interior was very quiet, though I assume as we went for lunch on a weekday, it’s likely not a busy time overall. Everything was extremely fresh, and my favorite dishes were the shrimp as it was cool with a juicy and plump texture, the tuna otoro which was rich and fatty with a nice warmth due to their light charcoal radiant heating of the top surface, and the mackerel sushi that had really crunchy and fresh vegetables that mixed with and developed the flavour of the roll as you continued to chew. I normally eat a lot so I was wondering if I would be full, but the number as well as richness of the dishes left me very satisfied. I also chose to add the $60 sake pairing, and got to try 3 different sake, all of which were very smooth and enjoyable. I remember going to a sushi omakase in Kyoto when I was in Japan 2 years ago, which was very good, and about $160 CAD per person based on price conversion at the time. The lunch set menu here is $280 CAD at the time of writing this review. Quality wise, I actually think that this is significantly better than my experience in Kyoto, even though still fondly remember my Kyoto experience as I really enjoyed the dishes there as well. The service, quality and flavour of the dishes here were just even more incredible in my opinion. It is however a higher price point for an omakase, so it’s not something I can go to casually or every day. But as a special Valentine’s Day celebration in our case, I’m glad to have chosen this place as it makes me remember Japan fondly, enjoying high quality food with my wife.
