    The Church Street Tavern never fails to please. The same is true of its sister establishments, The White Hart and The Rose. The menus are well thought out and varied and include local produce, and they have an extensive wine with affordable wines. Staff are friendly and helpful, the ambiance is good and it is not too noisy.

    Our table had a variety of food. For starters, Humus with Lamb was perfect, everyone enjoyed it. The Mirra Plate for 1 is amazing with various types of lamb and chicken, if you’re in doubt, I do recommend this one. If you fancy some seafood, the plate with Seafood Skewers is really good and it comes with a lot of vegetables and salads really well seasoned. Also the Salmon Plate was delicious as always, I’m yet to find a place that beats it. For Drinks, Yakut red wine was perfect and they also serve delicious mocktails. Our servers were so attentive and welcoming, it’s an amazing staff. Food and drinks are also quick. But I do recommend taking your time enjoying the experience.

    Although not living locally, we frequently visit the Angel for lunch when visiting relatives who live in the area. The team are friendly and attentive, the food is excellent and the menu is varied.
