- AAnnaGoldLos Angeles •3 reviews5.0Dined 1 day agoSometimes you need a place with pixie dust. A place with tiki charm, a well-oiled drink, super-friendly staff, “we gotchu” vibes and decor you can gawk at with an unironic goofy grin. Who knew it’d be in Camarillo? I’ve been to House of Bamboo seven times since March 7th (my swizzle stick collection is unreliable since I poached my friends’ the first couple of times I went) and today is May 9th, so consider this a thoroughly well-researched review. Drinks: If you like sweet and unusual, go with the Rum Hound or Rum Runner. If you like classic, go for the Hurricane. If you like nuclear strong, go for the Zombie #iykyk (I’ve heard good rumors about Three Dots and a Dash but I haven’t tried it yet.) Food: Definitely get at least one order of the Tiki Tots when you order your drinks, so you can munch and pace yourself. If I’m with a group of friends, we usually order Pan Fried Dumplings (the sauce is outrageous), Coconut Shrimp, Edamame (seriously underrated appetizer, it’s sooooo good), Pork Skewers and honestly, a 2nd round of Tiki Tots. On the entrees side…I’m embarrassed to say that 7 visits in, I still haven’t tried an entree, BUT my son raves about the Loco Moco burger, my brother-in-law gave the Pork Tonkatsu 2 thumbs up) And as of early May, it’s not on the menu, but you can order Dole Whip as a dessert! Yes, I did try it, and yes it was delicious. I spoon-battled my co-worker for the last bite. I’ve taken family members, co-workers and friends, we’ve yet to have a bad experience, and I have a standing one-reservation ahead scheduled indefinitely because House of Bamboo has *epic* tiki-pixie dust vibes.More infoHouse of Bamboo$$$$• Cocktail Bar• Camarillo•4.8

- WWillGoldSouth Carolina •23 reviews5.0Dined 4 days agoI’ve probably reviewed 100 different restaurants in Southern California and this is literally the best experience we’ve had. Combine the beauty of gardens tended daily by 70+ gardeners, service that is second to none alongside a bold menu with table-side chef options and I promise you won’t have a better experience anywhere in California.More infoStonehouse at San Ysidro Ranch$$$$• Contemporary American• Santa Barbara•4.8
- AAvivaLos Angeles •4 reviews5.0Dined 5 days agoWe love Rumfish!!! Great Happy Hour and the regular menu has so many delicious choices. We decided to try a couple of the desserts this time. They are all made in house. The Coconut Bread Pudding was to die for & our friend from out of town loves Key Lime Pie. He said it was the best one he ever had!! We all agreed. Can’t wait to go back. - RRyan1 review5.0Dined on Apr 29, 2026We were sat the third row back— understandable given the reservation tonight. I asked the hosts to move us up to the course and they went above and beyond. The second a table opened up, we were escorted to our new seats. They Definitely pack the patio, but we got taken care of in a way that makes us feel like the Ojai Valley Inn cares about our honeymoon, and they didn’t even know we existed four hours before dinner. That meant a lot to us. Ron— the man I made the reservation with, was incredibly kind, frank, and accommodating. This is our honeymoon, and we wanted the dinner to be something we can always come back to for anniversaries. Sam, Sam and the hosts (I forget their names, but so helpful) treated us like we were honored guests. They never made us feel like we were anywhere but exactly where we belong. The Gibsons (us) will always remember the kindness we were treated with despite our lateness. We will be coming back here for the rest of our lives because of the care with which the establishment takes in serving customers, as well as in selecting A+ staff to do so. I know the establishment is doing fine, but you have added two lifetime customers.More infoThe Oak - Ojai Valley Inn$$$$• Californian• Ojai•4.7
