Built in the early 17th century, this grade two listed pub is the oldest coaching inn in Frodsham, originally having stabling for 23 horses. The stables can still be seen opposite the rear of the pub, as can the coach house with its large white doors. The generous Sunday Roast boasts free top ups on roast potatoes, Yorkshire puddings and gravy.Known at the time as The King's Head the name was changed when Queen Victoria came to the throne in 1837.

    We were shown to a nice table with plenty of room. We ate from the ordinary menu. Everything we had was really lovely. Staff were attentive, friendly and efficient. We were asked if it was a special occasion, I said it was my birthday. They brought me a large ish profiterole with a lit candle which was a nice touch to our experience. We would definitely return. We'll done Liverpool Ivy.

    Attended The Ivy Brasserie with my mum for her 70th birthday and it was nothing short of exceptional. The ambience is beautiful, comfortable, and every detail was thoughtfully considered. They surprised my mum with a cake, candle, and birthday wishes which made the occasion feel so special. Our waiter was attentive throughout and provided fantastic service from start to finish. The food was outstanding and the new menu is absolutely stunning. A truly memorable experience — highly recommend for a special occasion.

    A gem of a place in lovely surroundings. It was like going down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland. Interesting menu, inventive presentation of food, attentive and friendly staff. The staff made my daughter's 21st birthday very memorable.

    Excellent Sunday Dinner at The Queens Head. Plenty of food, extra roasties / yorkshires and great service. This was our 2nd visit, as the 1st was so good and we weren’t disappointed.

    Came out for food with a friend. My food was amazing, steak cooked perfectly. Lasagna did my friend wasn’t the best, too much cheese for her and the garlic bread was tiny for the price and turned out to be very hard and over cooked.
