Eight years ago, Maximo Bistrot started as a restaurant for the thinking and execution of dishes from a wide range of techniques with the best of local ingredients; a warmful place that communicated our love for food. After a long and heartwarming road at our current location, we thought for the need of moving. Our new home, located at Alvaro Obregon 65 bis - a much wider space where gleams of natural light shine upon the surface-, is carefully assembled by Gabriela's meticulous look, and a kitchen built within Eduardo García's early memories, while living as an inmigrant in a barn in Ohio. Despite this big change, our principles initially founded remain the same: to offer food that distinguishes the best of local products.

    I love Nico’s in Azcapotzalco. My girlfriend and I go for dinner at least once every two or three months. The service is very good. The servers are knowledgeable and very attentive without being bothersome. The majority of the appetizers, sides and mains are very very good. One thing I love about Nico’s is that they usually have a few vegetable options. And they’re usually very good dishes. If you love vegetables as much as I do and see a dish with the main thing being “calabacitas”, get it. It’s going to be good. The menu has a great balance between vegetables, meat and seafood. Which is a big reason I keep going back. I think Nico’s only weakness is their deserts. I feel like they’re not really trying here. But I don’t go for their desserts- so I can forgive them and keep going for the great food and service.
