Restaurants near Lair Hill Park

We were seated near the bar and it was noisy because of server traffic. And we were cold.

We came here to celebrate my dad’s birthday. We had a good table with a decent view of the city. Our first waitress wasn’t so kind but that didn’t bother us. We noticed a window seat open up and it had been about 30 mins so I asked the host if we could move and she said “ YES!”. After that the evening got even better. Our waitress was fun and so kind! The view was absolutely amazing and the Christmas parade ships were out! We had great food, great service and wonderful experience!

The Chart House has been our go-to restaurant for several years now. As old college friends from 1971, we come back to Portland, the city where we met. The Chart House menu offers a huge variety of foods to dine on. This time we had a fantastic waiter. Jacob went above and beyond with recommendations for the food and wine. Many thanks to him,

Entirely unique cuisine experience for us- and while exploring the menu with the help of our awesome server, we found some unexpected gems. Service was impeccable, plating was playful. It my birthday, and the team communicated that well throughout, making the night feel very special. I was also working with a lil dairy sensitivity and my server was so thorough and thoughtful through that process. Everything was truly a delight.

The food is outstanding! However, It took at least a half hour after being seated before we were greeted at our table. It was VERY loud where we were sitting as there were two parties in the same small room that were making way too much noise. It was impossible to carry on a business conversation. That being said, the food made up for the slow service and loud tables.
