Chef/Owner James DeSisto has a seasonal a la carte menu featuring fresh seafood, pasta, steaks, and appetizers. In addition there is a chef’s special menu featuring local and seasonal food from all over NJ, PA, and NY please keep in mind this menu changes weekly. Chef DeSisto also has gluten free and vegan options for guests as well. Our outdoor patio is weather permitting, if we cannot accommodate outside due to weather we will move you inside depending on availability. Some must try’s are the giant meatball, house made pastas, steak au poivre or our delicious day boat scallops!!     Excellent service. Nice variety of food choices. Tuna crudo was superb, perfectly seasoned and chilled. The meatball appetizer was as tasty as my Mama's, and that's a high bar to jump. The black ink linguine seafood entre was flavorful and a generous portion. My only complaint is that the pasta was a bit overcooked for my taste. Overall, it was a good experience at a good price. BYOB, good food, excellent service, at a reasonable price makes Laboratorio Kitchen a destination I recommend

    Food was very good and well executed. Service very attentive without being overbearing. Prices reasonable. Would definitely go back. Food came out timely and hot. Unlike other newly opened similar Italian restaurants located in upper Montclair.
