French in spirit yet distinctly California, this nouveau brasserie builds on the foundation that has made TRUST Restaurant Group one of the city’s most lauded: cooking over charcoal, vibrant flavors, simple techniques, and a willingness to take risks. The energy inside the restaurant is immediate - refined without feeling formal, polished but never stiff, with an easy sense of grandeur that feels grounded and lived-in. This is North Park, after all.

The American steakhouse is an iconic restaurant institution. We’d wanted to tell that story for years, but waited until we had the skill, talent and ability to execute it properly, and the right space to be our canvas, an important corner in Little Italy, a neighborhood where we have deep roots. We brought an almost academic appreciation for steakhouse history and tradition to Born & Raised, while trying to stay relevant and authentic to ourselves and our city. Our dry-aged beef pays tribute to earlier, earthier, pre-government grading practices and is the centerpiece of a meal best savored at a slow pace. A timeless celebration of everything that makes restaurants so special. - Consortium Holdings. A 4% surcharge is added to all guest checks.

We had such a special experience at Born and Raised for a birthday celebration. The food was incredible from start to finish. We ordered the steak tartare and the crudo — the crudo absolutely stole the show for us with its fresh, bright flavors, though the steak tartare was still very good. For entrées, we had the Tomahawk and the Filet Mignon, both cooked medium rare and both literally melted in your mouth. We also ordered the hash browns (without the roe) and the mac & cheese. The hash browns completely blew our minds — crispy, rich, and honestly one of the standout dishes of the night. The rooftop experience made the evening even more memorable. At first, all rooftop seating was reserved, but after kindly following up a couple of times, confirming our reservation the night before, and requesting rooftop seating one last time, the team accommodated us with an incredible table and a beautiful view. It was a little chilly with the wind at first, but once the patio heaters were turned on, it was perfectly comfortable. The staff was wonderful, the ambiance was beautiful, and the entire night felt so special. My only small critique would be that the music was a bit loud, making it difficult to hear the waiter unless they were directly facing you while speaking. Once they turned away to speak to someone else at the table, their voice faded into the music a bit. Overall, such an amazing dining experience and absolutely worth the visit for a special occasion.

This was a beautiful restaurant with amazing food! My husband and I had our date night here and Natalie was our server. She was the sweetest and very knowledgeable in recommending some great dishes including drinks and dessert too. We shared the Beef kabob, steak kabob, date night drink, Santini platter, lamb shank meal and a dessert that was pistachio (can’t remember the name) but it was all so delicious! Will definitely be coming back! 💕

We dined at A’Louest last evening and everything was phenomenal! Marcy was our server and she was super helpful in our ordering and walking us through the menu for our first visit. Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious. We started with the petit seafood tower and it was hands down the best seafood tower we’ve ever had. The mussels were especially incredible. We also tried the ribeye, duck, steak tartare, and ravioli, and every single item was outstanding. I would honestly go back just for the ravioli alone. WOW. The banana dessert is an absolute must, and definitely order it before they sell out! The potatoes tartufette were divine as well. Highly recommend for a special night out or an unforgettable meal.
