Restaurants near Platt Fields Park

Had a great lunch of fish and chips and ice cream dessert. Service was exemplary, and also had a complimentary coffee. Will come back.

You can’t really beat Hawksmoor for a special occasion. Our birthday boy was made to feel very special and loved his birthday meal. We got great advice on both food and wine and although it’s not cheap we really felt we got great value and something a bit extra. I feel I need to mention that while the rest of my family enjoyed their steaks I don’t eat red meat, but at Hawksmoor I always have a great meal too. I usually go for fish, which they did amazingly well too, but this time I went for chicken and it was one of the tastiest chicken dishes I ever had. And I really felt I had a great choice, which is not usually true in restaurants that specialise in beef. Anyway, couldn’t recommend more.

Went to the restaurant on a December Friday lunchtime, so it was reasonably full. Food was ok but nothing spectacular, with the steaks being very average. Only real complaint was the temperature of the place. Given that it is a former bank with massively high ceilings it really takes some heating, so a few degrees warmer would have definitely made us feel a bit more comfortable.

I have wanted to visit onda since i followed their instagram page. Well It didn't disappoint. Everything was outstanding. Food was delicious. My waiter Shade was an amazing host and even chose my main on his recommendation. I am so impressed I can't wait to visit next year.

A great evening and made especially wonderful by the lovely Ebony who served us .. she was very helpful with the menu and food choices and advice was bang on for us ! An asset to any restaurant is your staff and she certainly was date and time visited 03/12/24 5pm main restaurant
